Interpreting the standings

I am curious, how are the points awarded in the CTF League? Also what to the columns for D RW and RL mean?

Thanks!
{EmS}editguy
P = Points. points are awarded depending on how hard a team is. team difficulties are determined by the teams wins/losses. as it stands, EmS has won 1 game and lost 1 game, giving your team a total of 4 points. if you were to defeat a team with 2 points, you will recieve less points than defeating a team with 4 or more points. the more points a team has, the more chance your team has at gaining more points when defeating them. it's really there to determine the strength of each team. so, if one team had a season playing all easy teams, they wouldn't really have that many points compared to a team that defeated harder teams.

R = Rank. a little screwed up, because some teams have the same amount of points and wins, but are not ranked the same. (this is something i want fixed).

W = Wins

L = Losses

D = Draws

PCT = Winning Percentage

3 points per win
1 point per loss
no ties!
Thanks for the explainations. But what does RW and RL stand for?
where do you see RW and RL?
Its on the division standing page.

It means: Rounds Won / Rounds Lost

If RL = rounds lost, how is it that we are at 12, and RW for zt is at 12. We may be bad, but 3 times as bad as everyone else?
:P
Well, technically its *caps* not rounds. Not sure why its set up in round points reportingwise

You are supposed to report the scores like: 2-0 2-1, etc not 13-9, 12-10

You report the rounds won, but we are adapting this to caps. So if people are only reporting rounds then their RW RL will look,.. odd.

Ok, now that i've confused myself... /me crawls back into his hole

Wow, I wasn't confused UNTIL I read this thread :-|

First, I've been reporting CAPS.

Second, what are you talking about this more points for beating a better team??? I thought it's 0 pts for a forfeit, 1 for a loss, 3 for a win. Adding in this better team / worse team stuff doesn't make sense to me really. So... If you beat [e] at the beginning of the season you'd get 3 points, but if you beat them at the end of the season (and they were ranked high as a good team) you'd get More than 3 points???????? Seriously?

No blud, where'd you get that from?

its:
win = 3pts
loss = 1pt
forfeit = 0pts

For all games

This thread is utterly confusing. I think you really need to clearly define the points system you are using and create links to that document in the rankings page. All terms should be clearly defined. RW, RL, llamas, etc... I have no idea what any of that is.

LOL, I got it from Cake's post near the top of this thread, but thanks for the clarification.
AHH, and someone like SAB has 3 wins 1 loss and only has 9 points because the 1 loss happens to be a forfeit (which earned 0 points). Woo, I understand now, cool.
Right now (at least when I am posting this reply) Clockpowered shows 6 games played on the stats page. Obviously that is incorrect, this being week 5.
cP still has 6 games played...
