Hi I was wondering what Urban Terror is

I am the leader of the =US= clan and we are on the GO and BF1942 chapters. I was wondering about other ladders and was wondering if anyone could tell me about urban terror or possibly put a link for me to findout more about the game. Thanks for any cooperation.

Urban Terror is a free QuakeIII total conversion that combines 'realism' with the exciting gameplay of QuakeIII. "Another CS ripoff" ? The newest version (beta2.6) just came out and there are a lot of additions/changes made. Its a great game, definitely the best shooter out there imho . All you need is a full install of QuakeIII and the free UrT download at their site!

Hmmm i hear rumors of Quake Gold going around for like $20 or so. That will include Q3 and Q3 Team Arena. You could always buy a linux version somewhere too for about $10, then just dl the PC version and use the linux version cdkey.

So buy quake gold if possible? What is Quake 3 Team Arena?

Yea, Quake3: Gold is a bundle of Quake3 and Team Arena, if you can find just Quake III Arena get that. Team Arena is a mod of Quake 3 that ID developed. Same Quake3 flavor though. Urban Terror is a really well done Q3 mod, I'm sure you'll love it

_GOD if you don't like the jumping in GO then u wont like this from my experience people jump a lot in this game

Yea tru dat. It's more Quake-like then Clancy-like

But then again, its not Reaction Quake3 or AQ2 like either. Its a great balance imo, gives you the fast gameplay without all the sillyness (like, in Urban Terror if you drop off a roof you break your legs, you are impaired until you bandage up.. etc/etc...)

Definitely worth the try if you already have q3... tho imo its worth buying q3 for (its more fun for me then most 'official' games, and just as well done)...

o yea i havnt tried out 2.6 yet so i might just do that heh

Yea go check it out Theyve added some new weapons, a mini-map, and all kinds of bug fixes/goodies/etc

Cant beat the price anyway hehe
