Team Servers Admin - Have you got AMBL

Well it comes the mark of 2 weeks to the start of the season. Time for the 2 week warning. Nov.1 is coming up fast, so start reporting your server is setup for Auto-MBL. This does include all Leaque and Ladder servers.

It's on the way if not already installed.

That's ok, you are not required to install it. Your server just won't be eligible for TeamWarfare competition.

Then obviously you have not run Auto-MBL. It is not something that runs constantly like pb, it just a update program for bans, which takes like 6 seconds to complete. Lag would amount to about the same as 'hic' with no 'up'

is this ambl thing a distraction from a more important question? - how is the team vs team pairing done? there were complaints that have been forgotten, not solved and the "random" thing is still in place?

Blue just hates conforming. His server sux anyway. Plus he's prolly worried he'll be banned from his own server due to the MBL.

I'll correct you on this, MBL doesn't ban anyone. It creates the ban file from bans PB does.

No, Mear|in is right. If BV gets banned by PB, the it bans him from his own server. Poetic justice? LOL

lol mearlin doesn't even know what MBL does.. Then why run it? GAWD! You guys are just lucky I got FTP acess to my server because i asked for it Ya! thats right! Now, somoene pm me to fullfill all my instructions to get this dumb auto Mofo shit on my server... gawd admins!

Apply for membership, then read the directions. If you have difficulties, pm myself or Annihilator.

I wasn't saying MBL would ban him dirrectly, but that he would be banned, and then MBL would add his ban to his own server. At wich point, Annihilator and I would be cursed constantly.

I really see no point in this stupid program other than a certain admin pressing it on everyone to use it because his clan does. What does a global pb ban list have to do with TWL?

Maybe 1 person using a shared key out of everyone in all the clans might be affected. Sounds like the Hax Alliance admin is trying to BUSH thier BS on everyone else if you ask me.

Just so everyone is clear. This program will not help in anyway with someone who is cheating.

I dont see why people are finding it a problem. No, it will not find any more hacks than PB already does but the hackers found with this software running are then put onto the master ban list. Every server connected to the master ban list with AMBL will have these hackers banned. So, unless you plan to use hacks (or have in the past) ON A SERVER CONNECTED TO AMBL you shouldnt have a problem with this.

Like I said in the previous post. All this will do is maybe affect 1 person in TWL using a shared key, if that even. So really I see no point in using it at all. This sounds like a waste of my time to set it up. It also sounds like an admin pushing his clan ways on everyone else.

Explain to me what the purpose of AMBL is and the advantage of using it during league matches? Does the general public join a server while 2 teams are playing a match? This is a stupid idea brought up by annihilator.

One Annihilator is by far not the only admin using it. It been on the Wildcardz server for months now. Before then other notable servers use it. As far as what it's usefullness will be. Geee maybe to keep the person caught cheating on a pub server or match server out of match play. If you don't cheat, Quess what, It will do nothing. Thats what we essentially WANT it to do. If no bans are added from anyone, then the implimation of this requirement has done it's job. The cheaters aren't cheating at any time. If they do, get caught, their done. NEXT!!

Put more simply..Don't cheat then you have no worries.

Cheat, get caught, enjoy your ban of over 30 servers and growing.

so in otherwords there is only an advantage of using it on public servers. So why use it in a match? If someone is caught in a match they will be banned from TWL anyways.

You still have not answered what its advantage would be to use it during a match.

Any players caught by pb are banned automatically. If you are pb banned and your name is on the list, your banned from Teamwarfare. As simple as that. Pub, match pb don't care, this enhances pb.

Plus the decision is already made. You are not required to use it, it just that only servers using it are eligible to be used during Teamwarfare match play.
