Playoffs!

Playoff seedings look like this:

Ranger Division:
1-aB[c]
2-[e]
3-.:blam:.
4-NN
5-cA
6-???

SEX will play AI and PIT will play G6 on Thursday, with the winners agreeing to a match day and time sometime BEFORE NEXT MONDAY.


Seal Division:
1-iCu*
2-Vex
3-SAB
4-.empire
5-???
6-???

Winners of the PHEAR vs. CiC and EMS vs. .223 matches on pgrounds this week will determine the 5th and 6th seeds. The team with the greater cap differential will get the higher seed.

The actual playoffs will kick off next week.

Congrats to everyone who participated in this season. Good luck to those that are moving on into the playoffs and better luck next year to those that didn't quite make it.

We tried to make this season as fair and fun for everyone as possible. I hope everyone that participated got to enjoy themselves.

Why is there not a playoff in the Ranger Division when there's one in the Seals? If blam did beat SEX last week, then there's a 4 way tie for the 6th spot in the division. Am I looking at it wrong?

If the winning teams can't agree to a time to play, complete the match, and report the scores by the end of Monday, they will forfeit their chance at the playoffs.

Just out of curiousity Low, but why are we being rushed to get these matches done by Monday. Thats 2 extremely important matches that we need to prepare for in less than a week, plus our STA CTF match on Sunday.

Because the actual playoffs start next Thursday. Both of these "get into the playoff" matches will be played on pgrounds, so preparation should be pretty straight forward for both matches.

CiC has disbanded does that mean Phear automatically advances?

nn and ca will play each other in 2 weeks, and blam will play the 6th seed. the winner of the nn and ca match will play abc, and the winner of the blam and the 6th seed match will play [e].

Edit, we are finishing out the CTF league.

If cA can get past 1st round against NN on algiers, which algiers is one of my worst maps, then we can easily beat abc in 2 and possibly play well against enigma and win. Then beat icu on a rematch of subway. Sounds good!

LOL, So we have to play the second match on Friday or Saturday night eh? That's retarded. There's no way that clans are going to be able to feild proper lineups on such short notice on nights that, where I come from anyways, no one plays on. You should push back the playoffs 1 week to finish this.

You have Friday, Sat., Sunday, and Monday to play. Surely both teams can find 90 minutes on one of those days to play this match...if not, I guess we'll have to see what can be done.

If we make it that far we will try too, but remember STA is sunday night, and TWL TS is monday night. Also, you said BEFORE next monday, when you mean to say BY next monday.

I should have been more clear with my other phrasing, and had it read "before the end of next monday" but yes, you have up until the end of monday for it.

Seeings pgrounds is such and even map, why not play one 30 minute map on a neutral server with the winners advancing and playing 1 more map of pgrounds the same night? Considering this is a sudden death match for the final playoff spot, there's no real need to play 3 rounds. With all the teams off that night, surely there will be a neutral server somewhere both teams can agree upon.

Hehe, well, "by the end of monday" is certainly clear in its meaning of *including* monday, but you said "by the end of monday" in a reply to your first post which I somehow missed. Your first post only says "BEFORE NEXT MONDAY", the caps locks scared me and so I replied about this whole monday thing, which I now understand.

i think that is a great idea for the ranger division
but what about the seal division?
should you do the same thing?

and have the two winners play and whoever wins that map gets the higher seed

I said it wasn't symmetrical.. not unbalanced. For the most part sub2 is balanced, but not as much so as say pgrounds, that was my point. sub2 is good like i said, but a couple of the other maps like algiers could definately be replaced with better... Hell I love playing algiers, I just don't feel is match worthy cause it's extremely unbalanced. Oh well just my opinion, I'd rather see pgrounds/riyadh/turnpike in there. Not a big deal regardless what we play it'll be fun.

Yeah I primarily agree with you. However, in TWL, Toxic is tried and tested, and it's fairly even.

For once I actually agree with OB. Toxic2? ugh. Subway2? lame. Why not Riyadh or Rommel?

Ok I don't get it first of all blam is 3 NN is 4 and yes blam beat NN during the season, but NN still has more points than blam does. So, shouldn't those be flopped or am I wrong?
