Pretty good map list but, ugh, sanc twice? Crenshaw?

Oh and what about toxic2?

And what about ut_maya_beta3 ;p
Yes, I agree, Crenshaw & Sanc(horrible spawn rooms) = blah.
Dlord2 is better than Dlord3 for CTF
No Turnpike, Filtration, Village2?

no zero?
In my opinion, just to shake stuff up a little and getting away from the same old maps, replace ut_sands with ut_zero (they are both big maps and zero is something newer so it wont take hours in a match) and replace the second ut_sanc with ut_filtration. Sanc is such a one sided map and not exactly the best to be played during the playoffs. Filtration on the other hand is a great map. Equal, roomy but not too roomy, and has a little for everyone. Druglord2 and Village2 are also great maps. Turnpike is overplayed so I dont think we need that map this season.

I dont think we should play toxic2 or maya because those are both still beta maps. Mainly I feel we should have new maps that are not played all the time or many times in previous seasons so that teams will learn new maps. Just throw filtration in there somewhere and i'll be happy =] oh and zero too, it sounds like fun! what about ftdicks or the new map thats supposed to come out with 3.2? new maps are always fun in matches
ut_sanc as a playoff map??? o ya and I agree with bliz. filtration was a fun map last season

I'd love to see ut_zero in the rotation but I'm just happy the season starting, so no complaints.
ughh.. wheres turnpike?
Yeah sanc in the playoffs is kinda whack now that you mention it. I agree with putting filtration in instead, its kinda a drag to have such uneven maps as sanc in the playoffs. And Blizzard I was just joking about my maya map (big surprise to see SAB not want turnpike heheh

But keep sands! It's a classic.

In my opinion, I would rather see filtration or village2 instead of sanc and crenshaw... those two are just terrible maps.

Sands owns!
This seems like a good map list, except for the playoff maps. With the exception of subway2 they seem pretty poorly chosen.

ut_algiers: favors red pretty heavily - why not just choose abbey.
ut_toxic: is radically asymmetrical and has lots of boosted spots and other weird little features. people will bitch.
ut_sanc: boring single-level gameplay, uses clunky spawn rooms. it's super easy to spawn camp the fuck out of red if they lose enough momentum.

subway2, riyadh, pgrounds, and crenshaw would be four really good and fair maps for the playoffs. I also tend to think those are the four maps least likely to cause strife, since they all pay attention to symmetry and have only a few rough edges, comparatively.

I was disappointed not to see casa on the map list. I think if you swapped out toxic for casa this would probably be about the best map list possible, given the available maps.

I agree, with everyone. Sanc and Crenshaw, not the best CTF maps, better for Bomb Mode. Filtration, DLord2, Turnpike, Zero, Village2, Casa. All great maps, most of which are out of the ordinary. Oh well, GAME ON! GL
As always, we're trying switch up each season so we all don't have to play the same old maps lists again and again. There's some new ones to try out, some old ones that haven't been played in awhile, and a few regulars to appease the whiners.

Most annoying is that so many of these maps are sniper-favorites.
Like we said before, we tried to make it a mix of big/small/new/old maps that will have something for everyone. There's no possible way to make everyone happy, so we're trying to give a little something to everyone.

If that was your goal I think you probably succeeded as well as you could with the maps available, for the regular season (though if it were me I'd certainly swap casa for toxic, since it's more symmetrical, less buggy, and more popular). Not so for the playoff maps IMO.

I'll pipe down about it now if you want. I'm sure it will be discussed again as the playoffs come around.
turnpike because enigma looses their, this is there league, remember? And filteration, xtc beat them there also. GG enigma league
you're just saying that cuz you got banned from the Xtc league ;o lol
Actually firewire, Adversity isn't in [e] last I checked and he was involved in the map selections as much as myself or cakes. I'm not going to say anymore than that, as I really don't have to justify anything to you.

As for casa over toxic, I don't see toxic as that buggy, certainly no more than casa, where the spawns are in quite possibly the worst imaginable locations. If those spawns were fixed, I think casa would be a great map.
just replace playoffs sanc with something else like casa or filtration. One question though, why repeat maps in a season?
Gah, I'm gonna hate myself for this, but just to prove a little more of a point:

1-[e] has lost to one team on turnpike, and that was w][, a team that was really good in general, and spectacular on that map.

2-[e] lost to xtc on filtration, yes, but as far as that goes, EVERY team that has played -x-, on ANY map, has lost to them.

3-Each and every decision the admins of this league make is completely independent of any clan affiliation they have. Our actions are as TWL staff, not as clan members.
