I run a BFG 6800 GT 256 OC card, everything run on high.

Animations and weapons and vehicle graphics are nice.

But the graphics of trees and grass and buildings are not any better then other BF games.
Gameplay is pretty smooth.
Its basically Desert Combat for sale.

Sounds are nice.

Graphics dont compare to most other new games out there right now.

Do i think its a show stopper? Nope.
Its Battlefield. Not to much change.

I played and laddered DC for over 2 years...and it is not DC for sale by any means!

But I do agree it isn't a show stopper...but the DC heads out there will love it I am sure...as for me I am burned out on the whole battlefield thing so I guess I will be staying with Swat4 lol

I just dont think there is to much about the game that is like WOW, i gotta go buy this.

Its like BF has refused to get with the year 2005 as far as graphics are concerned.

The graphics arent alot better then they were with the first BF.
Animations and stuff are better but overall they arent.

Anybody out there that has UT2004, go check out the Red Orchestra conversion, now thats some graphics.

graphics are alot better, animations rock, and the sounds are the most realistic of any game to date.

It does have an arcade-type gameplay, some people love it, some don't.

As I reminisce of the days of old, the 8 bit days, I think of what it used to take to make a game fun. Solid gameplay, replay value, and the occaisional up up down down, naaaaah mean?

While I am a huge fan of being blown away by graphics, I don't think it would be a wise choice to invest a great deal of time making a game graphically stunning. I mean, how many people do you know that can and/or have forked over the dough for a 9800 ultra(gettin one in July, chumps!)?

We have about 250 members in our clan.
And i'd bet most of them have at least a 9800 or a 5900 or better.

If your a hardcore BF player who is still playing or laddering BF42, DC, and BF:V then you will think this game is the best thing ever. Because its just BF with added tweaks and some improved graphics. But the gameplay is still arcade, and its still the same BF game. No matter how many ways they try to dress this game up, they still never go into depth where it counts. And I am happy for the BF crowd, they got what they wanted. I can relate because if they came back and remade RVS into a stunning graphical game with more bells and whistles, I too would be excited that they kept the feel of the game the same. Now since I got tired of all the BF series after a few short weeks, I cant see why I wont get tired of this game quickly too. So I will just save my $50 bucks for something that is really a different game.

alot of people judge this game too quickly. It has more depth than any game to date. It would take hundreds of hours to fully master it. That's what I've always enjoyed about the bf series.

as far as gameplay it is close to bf1942, but the tactical part of the game is unreal and unlike anything I've seen in a game to date (maybe I'm just playing the wrong ones?). IMO this game will be more rewarding to whichever team can take the most advantage of the organizational aspects of it (Commander, Squads, issuing order, etc.).

yeah the tactical part of this game is great...you MUST work as a team or your screwed. the only bug that is just annoying is the in game browser freezing or giving 0 pings..but im sure they will fix it...

on a diff note...im trying to get more info on the swat 4 patch...give me a lil time pls

Thanks Bunks. I cut my teeth as an online gamer with BF1942. It was a blast for the first few months.. then I incredibly bored with the gameplay. I tried StarWars Battlefront and was once again bored.

I was looking at BF2 due to the hype in my clan. But it has to be a drastically different format for me to get excited. Thanks for the review.
