5v5 ladders

ive noticed theres not a lot of teams signed up for these 2 ladders. Do you guys not want it? or am i missing something? let me know

well the ladders wont get launched till we have around 25 teams signed up...so if more people sign up then we will get the rules up faster...if there isnt a lot of push for it..then it wont open..ya know?

I think not having rules may be hurting sign ups as teams do not want to sign up if they don't know what it is.

Waiting for 25 teams may be a mistake, there is a cloud of SWAT4 doom incoming called Battlefield2. Not sure if you will take this into consideration or not.

Besides, it looks as if all the good teams in SWAT4 are on there anyways, might as well just let these guys fight it out for top spot instead of wasting time with 3-0 3-0 matches.

I thought the default rule was no ladder will be started unless there were at least 10 active teams.

Well I see more than 10 teams on each ladder so I don't see why would shouldn't go ahead with them soon

when bf2 comes out, alot of ppl are going to rather play that, or at the very least not spend as much time on Swat 4. You might as well start the ladder so those teams can still come back to swat 4 to play matches and so forth...

lol I don't see the logic behind when battlefield 2 comes out that a lot of people will leave this game.

They are two totally different brands so unless a lot of people played Battlefield type of games then I can see that.

I for one won't be interested in it at all hehe.

Well alot of teams may take on one or the other or maybe both. We will be doing both, I think some teams haven't signed up because they are waiting on the patch. I know atleast 3 teams that are. I dont blame them either. We jumped in the PL but that isnt very active. Right now we are just at idle and waiting to see what happens. BF2 will be released with full PB support that in itself is a very good reason alot might make the jump and cause swat to die an ill fate.

if a patch doesn't come out before bf2, i'm not even going to bother with swat 4, there are quite a few bugs that immediately need to be corrected, and bf2 looks like a better game then swat 4, i never was much of a bf player, and im going to bf2. so what you said isn't exactly true switchblade ~

How bout this agent, Tell your "friends" at vu to give us a patch with anti cheats and we will be happy to put a team on each ladder. But until then we even thinking of dropping the vip one.

Not to burst anyones bubble but VU hasnt exactly been the best company for having support for its games.

The last game they put out was dumped and never touched.
It was all talk and no action.

lets just say i have confirmations of a patch

Lets just hope its before the BF2 release date Agent, because I for one will be making the jump to BF2 and wont even give this game a second look if it's not out by then. Besides, any game without PB or some version of Anti-cheat isnt even worth looking at anymore, and VU doesnt seem too concerned with that at all.

I can't afford to get new games but if my team goes, I leave too. I'm also tired of the obvious cheating in this game and it's worthless competiting in a game where you have no way of even proving the other team was cheating. Don't get me wrong, most of the people we've played against have been ggz but the few cheaters out there ruin it for everyone. We don't care about being number one, we're in it for fun but cheaters make it no fun.

We're almost certainly going to Battlefield 2 if the SWAT4 situation stays the same. I see no point in participating in competition without any kind of anti-cheat when there are so many cheating morons out there. So do we wait for SWAT4 to get in line (which probably won't ever happen) or do we go to BF2 in a few weeks when it ships with PB and all or most of the other admin features that SWAT4 should have shipped with? Hmph. I hope they get that patch out soon...
