Question about Maps in Tournament

There is a list of the maps to be used for Rounds 1 and 2, but what about the other rounds? Also I read that foodwall has been replaced for Round 2, what is the new map? Thanks a lot.

Alright I'm blind or something all I see is a list for Rounds 1 and 2, then a master list of all the maps.

Winning

How you win the match: The winner of the match is the first team to win 2 maps.
How you win a map: To win a map, you must win 3 rounds.
How you win a round: By eliminating all of the other team before time has expired.

Map Selection

Round 1: ABomb, Hospital, PowerPlant
Round 2: Foodwall, Tenement, FairfaxResidence

Side Selection

The team physically located above the other team on the Tournament Brackets is the Home team, while the other is the Visiting team.

Round 1: Home is SWAT, Suspects, SWAT
Round 1: Visitors are B is Suspects, SWAT, Suspects

Round 2: Home is Suspects, SWAT, Suspects
Round 2: Visitors are SWAT, Suspects, SWAT

so far only rounds 1 and 2 are posted.. he wants to know about the others(3,4, Finals).. just thought i'd clarify that for ya...

the other maps will be posted after round 1 and 2..i suggest just play all the maps :-). replc for foodwall will be announced before match time

Yea Thanks Nebulous, I was just wondering what the next maps were.... no big deal just curious.

I have just read the thread Nebulous posted (and was then locked) So this post is in regards to that thread.

I believe Nebulous (and the community) are well within their boundaries to expect to know what the replacement map will be a few days prior to the match.

This surprise BS is ridiculous, the only reason teams want a "surprise" is because they are too busy to practice, or simply do not want to practice that they hope they can surprise a better team. This seriously hinders teams who actually PRACTICE for the tournmanent. These are the teams that will win the tourny, and these are the teams who deserve it more.

I understand RM has worked hard on the tournament, but how hard is it to make a decision about a Rnd.2 map? Come on, don't feed us that crap. Get it done with so we an work on the map.

well as you now know the map list for rnd 2 has been emailed. So there is round 2..round three will be announced on monday or tuesday...thats the way its going to be handled...thats the way it has been handled for quite some time. It has worked in the past and i do not see a reason to change it now. If you want to practice for the tourney..then just pub for a few hrs. you will eventually hit the map. And i wouldnt say that the teams that always practice DESERVE to win...everyone deserves to win the tourney.

Just because you have more free time than other teams doesnt mean that you "Deserve" to win the tournament. Ive seen a tourney where the "underdog" has won, and thats usually because they relax and have fun instead of taking the game serious (over the edge serious) like some clans out there.

for future reference anything in a locked thread should not be brought up in another thread. They are locked for a reason. If there is a problem. Email an admin

Sigh... Agent you're being ridiculous. Round 3 will be announced Monday or Tuesday? Are you talking the tuesday that the actual round is?? Come on, this is just plain unfair. Give the maps a few days prior, it is plain common sense.

BTW - I believe it is true, those who work harder on a tournament, a match, a scrim, an anything usually come out on top. Do you think Tiger Woods is as good as he is because he relaxes and gets a little lucky because the other players don't know the golf course they are playing on?

Another point to be brought up is one that probably annoys a lot of players but noone brings it up. Agent, you are a TWL admin, you also play for FleshWound Freaks, an active team in the tournament. This has long been regarded in every ladder, in every game as a bit of a touchy subject. From our perspective, you are withholding valuable information from the community, (maps in a tournament for prizes) and as far as we know, your whole team already knows the maps, and are practicing them hours on end. Now, I am not accusing you of anything, but you can see where it gets rather suspicious from our end. When a TWL admin posts crap about "surprises" in a tournament, it really shows poor leadership and admin responsibility.

Just release the maps two to three days prior to the tournament date so everyone can be on an even playing field. Is this so hard for you to understand?

maps for tournies coming out the DAY of the tourny or the day before.. while the admins most likely know the maps WELL beforehand..
