High Risk Warrants Tournament!

SWAT 4 - High Risk Warrants Tournament, presented by TeamWarfare- April 19th - May 1st

Signups will open on April 12th, and rosters will be locked at six members.

TeamWarfare announces High Risk Warrants, a four-man SWAT4 tournament, in partnership with Sierra Entertainment, slated to begin April 19th, 2005 with almost $5000 in prizes to the top teams. Sponsors for this thirty-two team tournament include Sierra Entertainment, Micro Star International, D-Link, Nyko, Vivendi Universal, and Trinity Gaming.

why are rosters locked at 6 members?

some teams have people that dont play 24/7 and it is hard to get all 6 to be in one spot at any given time..



6 is just kind of dumb if you ask me...

also why not wait a few weeks for this tourny so teams get to actually purchase the game and get to know the maps rather than open a tourny the day it comes out..

just wondering..

The match time/dates will be listed well in advance, so that gives you time to pick 4-6 players who can definitely make the match(es). Really, 4 players is not hard to find. As well, we don't want any games to be played with subbing in/out players between rounds.

And as for the dates, the first round is 2 weeks after the release date (which is today). That sound be plenty of time for everyone to learn the maps. But as in all aspects of life, the teams who master the learning curve the fastest will go further.

Will the tourney be in VIP mode as it was with the MP demo ladder? 4v4 also?

Right now, we are leaning away from VIP towards the more TDM-styles. We will have everything finalized in a couple days.

What gametype(s) will this tournament include? I assume CO-OP is not included, are there any plans in the future to hold a CO-OP tourney?

Tourney? not right now...but i am trying to think of a good way to host a COOP ladder

You could have 4 people in two different COOP servers and 1 admin in each to make sure the scores are correct and whoever has the best score at the end wins...Just a suggestion...

ive already thought about that..but u have to remember..admins have lives too..most of us (not me) have kids...we cant sit there and watch a team go through a map when some maps may take an hr or so..but keep the suggestions coming

Well it doesn't have to be an admin, just a person you know you could trust.

will maps be predertmined with the dates?

Yes maps will be defined before match day...usually a week or so in advance...and sides are also defined...

what are the chances to get a guy in a server to watch and have BOTH teams trust them? i see many Match disputes along that path

For Coop, maybe count score and have it times, yes this would require a judge. Maybe would be better as a toruny than a ladder.

yeah maybe..dont worry ill think of something...you can always have 1 of the other team in with you..at the final score everyone takes a screen shot...BUT the thing is..then the team that goes second gets to see the tactics taht work/dont
