Hi all ...I am the leader of Forgotten Soldiers and Team Warlords.Looks like we have this crazy idea of creating a Gaming hosting business made up of Tribes2 peeps.WE started the idea from the point of going into servers and finding them to be laggy from connection and from server power. Our connection source is from the best possible bandwidth available located on http://www.netfire.com and the network is http://www.internap.com .Our server is a dual Xeon 2.66 ,dual 15,000rpm scsi,3 gigs DDR RAM,.We already are starting to get clients from various clans and the spots are going quick. We are only allowing a limited amount of clients per server so we can keep the server from losing its resources.Another server is being built to cover the overflow.

Please look us up at http://www.forgottensoldiers.com for some great pricing. You will find some other company's at almost double our prices and also cheaper than ours, but look to see what connection, network and server they are using.

I think you might consider a private server for Battlefields because you get all the benifits at almost half the price.

Connection C192 Backbone and each server is OC48
Network : Internap

Prices include web hosting and "2gigs of transfer per mo. for your maps and scripts"
Includes 32 slot Ventrilo "dedicated OC3 connection"

If you have any questions please refer to email sales@forgottensoldiers.com and I will handle you personally.

Please check out the website ...you are dealing with gamers who put in about 20-40 hrs a week of gaming. We know that peeps are getting raped on prices. We are trying to be as fair as possible with pricing. Bandwidth is always the issue of cost. Hosting company's deal with that issue in several ways.

1.Sign a huge contract to save cost on BW allowance (which is us)
2.Use smaller than OC48 connection to substantiate the cost ...some company's use OC3-OC14
3.Load up the server with shit loads of clients to pay for BW.We only limit the server to a minimal and that’s why spots are very few .I have heard some company's install at "least" 20 clients per server. Ours are limited to 10 clients per server because our tech tells us that we need 50% resources available for a server to run without a hiccup.

We are building another server as we speak because we only have about 4 slots open for clients.

On another note ...we have another server that runs our web hosting and email accounts and ventrilo. So that means our game servers are ONLY running games.
