Rule Clarification

"To ensure fairness, each team will play one round as Axis and one round as Allies on each map. The defender will be Axis first round and the Attacker will be Allies, the second round will be played with the teams reversed with the attacker playing Axis and the defender being Allies."

The way I read this, no matter which map you're on, 1st, 2nd or 3rd.. the defender always starts as Axis.
Or do you switch who starts as what, every other map?

Got this out of 12v12 Conquest rules...

Defender starts on axis for all 3 (if needed) maps.

- indica
TeamWarfare: Battlefield 1942 / Desert Combat Admin
Attacker / Defender - Allies / Axis - Round 1
Attacker / Defender - Axis / Allies - Round 2
Attacker / Defender - Allies / Axis - OT if needed

Incorrect.

Round 1 - Defender Axis, Attacker Allies on Map 1
Round 2 - Defender Allies, Attacker Axis on Map 1
Round 3 - Defender Axis, Attacker Allies on Map 2
Round 4 - Defender Allies, Attacker Axis on Map 2
Round 5 (OT) - Defender Axis, Attacker Allies on Map 3
Round 6 (OT) - Defender Allies, Attacker Axis on Map 3

Try reading that part of the rules again carefully. A round is defined as having played one side on a map.
Lol I knew there was some clarification needed .
I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one misreading that rule, altho at least I didn't post my mistake right after indica restated the rule in plain words

That distinction between round and map is what trips people up I think, might be a good idea to add that sentence indica just said to the rules.

Rules edited to explain...

"The defender will be Axis first for each map, the second round will be played with the teams reversed with the attacker playing Axis and the defender being Allies."
