Ropes on Blackhawk

ok, i don't know if there has been a rant about this yet. So if there was, im sorry i have repeated.

I would like to see a rope fall down from the Blackhawk when it gets to a certain altitude where all the passengers can slide down. (like on Black Hawk Down) I just think it would add a nice touch to the game. That way, if the pilot sucks at landing, he can just hover a certain distance above the ground and the men can get out without hurting themselves. The distance would be perfect. Too high to just jump, and too low to parachute.

Anybody with me on this?
I can picture how it would be done, but without tools to create it -- it would probably turn out to be one laggy and buggy mess.

It could operate just like landing gear, and have the code to have a ladder effect... but as said before, it would probably turn out a mess.

if it can be done I'd be all for that. send that idea their way
good idea... problem is you are gun bait. the reason why this works more IRL is because the area is usually cleared well or they have surpressing fire i presume. But in a game.. where dieing doesn't matter, people take more risks.

i love the idea and would be cool to see. I just see it as more economical to just bail and parachute in at the last second.

you can parachute pretty damn low in '42.
like off a roof.

Bah, ropes=cool feeling, but as Evil Napkin mentionned, people take more risks in the game then real life, mean you cannot do exactly like real life, even though it would be cool... oh well let em do it if they want to!!
Ya, in real life they can get away with that because the dude with the big gun on the blackhawk would be keeping people away no one would run to a blackhawk trying to kill the guys on the ropes with a guy shotting at him with a chaingun...

They of course they have have to make plenty of roofs with doors into the building....so you can rope onto the roof and storm the building

Like the flag points in buildings.
They talked about ropes in the .3 release party *cough* http://www.tsncentral.com *cough* If I remember right they said dangling objects are not supported by BF, so they would have to be more like poles, which would not work sadly.
You mean a Blackhawk with a bunch of firepoles hanging from it wouldn't be cool?

psh...
