corrupt data message and crash to desktop

anybody get this?
i am fully patched and above min requirements.
i was having no trouble at all, then started running into this problem when i try to join a server. HELP!!!

Do you have any texture packs? That happend to me after I installed RTR. I just uninstalled the game and delted the folder and did a fresh install and it worked for me

no, i have not installed anything other than official patches and bonus maps. could this be a coincidental crash caused by the servers i try to join? the term "corrupt data" does very little to identify where the problem lies.after three or so of these occurences in a row i lose interest in playing the game and go onto something else. i will try to join a few servers today and note what simularities i see among them. the thing that frustrates me is not that i am unable to join the server in question but the total shutdown of the game and having to totally restart just to try and join another server.

Your not using a no-cd crack are you?

I'm not implying you didn't buy the game...I've used them because I hate to have to put in a cd to play something when I paid for it.

no i do not have a no-cd crack installed either. i joined several servers today and after a few minutes was booted to my desktop . at least i was able to get in. i am going to try a defrag and if that does not work i will do a fresh re-install

Sounds like a problem with your memory to me.

I've only seen the "Corrupt Data" message in one instance.

I had a different custom map version than a certain server and after loading up the map fully it booted me from the server with that message.

I STRATED GETTING THAT "CORRUPT DATA" MESSAGE AFTER I INSTALLED THEIR LATEST PATCH....

IS MICROSOFT TAKING OVER E.A.?

n00bs.. you get that message when you try joining a modded server and you dont have the proper mod installed. So if you don't have Desert Combat, stop trying to join a Desert Combat server!
