finals/3rd place predictions

well?

finals: im torn here. i see rsg with a more complete and gelled team, and dinos with better overall individual skill. i think this is going to be dinos in 2 for some reason, though. i will not be surprised if rsg can win on battleaxe, but i just dont see it happening on stalingrad. tits will actually have something to worry about in the air with dirty/sess/sik. i tried as best as i could to give tits some trouble on kharkov/iwo but i couldnt do much with the setup i had. plus hes just damn good. i only recall one actual dogfight we had and it was on iwo and it took forever. but, dinos will possibly have pocket... not to mention half of their roster can fly at least well enough to be a good wingman.

stali will be pretty intense at the beginning. rsg has a lot of quality infantry and so does dinos. for me, stali is more about the tankers giving support... which both teams also have. i dont expect whoever gets middle at the beginning of the round to lose it.

baxe will be a fun match and will depend on who wins the air fight.

if it makes it to kursk, i can see it going either way. planes can become almost ineffective on such a small map (see moongamers lib caen mod) but with the experienced pilots im sure they will provide some support.

so, dinos in 2. IF it makes it to kursk... rsg in 3.

Trust me, you would have had no chance even with ur dream setup.

My prediction on the final is it will be a nice hard fought match. Battleaxe and Stali are two of my favorite competition maps. I have a feeling the outcome of this match will be decided early on, either way. We will definitely need a little more inf against RSG (and the maps) than we had last game as Jeremy and I were pretty much the only dedicated ground pounders on our team.

So if the rest of our team hasn't forgotten about the tourney, perhaps expect a different lineup than what we showed vs syr.

But I just saw what DHOne did to 56th when he played for ownzer in a ladder match on battleaxe. Wasn't saying ownzr will only win if he plays. Just simple stating hes gunna be a major factor to who wins that map I feel.

RSG > Dinos 3-1

I cant say much about Dinos because I wasnt able to play in the last match, but I have played RSG a few times, so theres not much I can say about Dinos other than what I have observed. Obviously the top teams in the tournement, so it has to be close, but I believe it will come down to a few key factors. With infnatry being an important factor with the maps in this round, I can see Dinos lacking with Hannah Montana not having much ground support against the well established RSG team. Dinos have a great roster nontheless, but from what I've seen since I came back to competition is RSG is the last true clan in BF42. Their roster has been extremely consistant for years, meaning you can expect their teamwork to be bar none in this day and age. I think this key point might play a deciding factor, since after all this is more of a team sport. Teamwork > a few big names

RSG is good, but this match really depends on who shows up for dinos

my prediction: ownzr wins baxe, rsg wins stalinade, and ownzr on kursk but not by much. solid tankers on either side, those battles will really decide the final rounds unless someone claims air dominance, but i dont see either side owning the other's pilots

If you were around for a good part of the first half of when BF1942 was actually competitive, you would know that half of Ownzr's roster has been playing together for years.

PremiumCreamium/Thomas (I hate that name), ddub, myself, Tony, Karamozov, Water, SnakeTits, Jeremy, Infac & PocketPool and pretty much our entire roster has played together off/on over the lifetime of bf1942. Most played together in SSB or in Kool Kids Klub waaaay back when CAL was operational.

Quite a few of us were on the original Kool Kids Klub roster and our teamwork rarely needs any of us to speak to eachother. We've played together for so long at different points in the game's history that our communication isn't even that necessary.

I played on the 2v2 tank ladder with Thomas for more than a year, before playing with Ðesolation. We rarely speak to eachother when we play, yet we coordinate our shots and movement because we're so familiar with eachother. When we do talk, it's usually him calling me a stupid ginger kid or me calling him a fat canadian. Regardless, we never lost a match in that ladder together.

So yeah, I'd say our teamwork is fine.

Edit: My internet has been (consistently) working for two days now. So hopefully I can play Sunday, as I couldn't play on my favorite maps last week.

Well then I'd consider myself an ignoramous, because I dont remember SSB. Must have been before my time, because I remember k3, but only as a bunch of smart ass jerks in ghetto. Never even played them in competition, but I was proably still on the noob teams being a noob. But like I said I never claimed to know much about your team so I'll jsut stand corrected.

Dinos > RG.

Stalingrad: Dinos = RG
Battleaxe: Dinos > RG
Kursk: Dinos > RG
