GUIDS or NO GUIDS?

Clayman,

I'd like to know since there's a ton of players registered for this tourney that haven't assigned a guid to their account, are we enforcing this or not? I'd hate to see my team, or any other team for that matter, get rulefucked out of a win. Or on the flipside, some scumbag smurfing for a team under another player's name. Being as there are a few ringer teams in this tourney, it's definitely something that should be brought to everyone's attnetion.

Either way, a definitive answer on this issue before the tourney begins would be nice.

I'm going to rule fuck the shit out of you, you hipster.
Since the tournament is hosted at TWL, we still have to stick to our guidelines. It takes very little time and effort to put GUIDs in place. There is still 10 hours until this thing kicks off. Surely teams can get those w/o GUIDs corrected. With that said, it will be upon the teams if they want to enforce this or just play the game.

This made me laugh. There were guys who played here for years and for the life of them could never figure out how to put up their GUID. Even with stickies and various threads posted "How do I add MY GUID?" Very similar to what's going to happen tonight when more than half the people playing won't have BFPro installed come match time.

I guess anyone who wants to play in this thing can play whether they're signed up or not. GL HF.

Maybe in the future, TWL should make it a requirement to have a GUID added before a member can sign up on a team?

You are a member of the biggest ringer team in the tourney, with your team having about 50% of the remaining comp talent (that actually play) left for 42.

What is your motive for caring about GUID's? Is Dino's wanting to play the rule-fuck game instead of just playing?

LOL no. I'm posting for everyone involved that wants a legit tournament. As a former admin of TWL, you should know all about that. It was a simple inquiry, don't spin it off to make it more than it really is.
Ya lets get guid's posted up. Keep this thing legit!
Over the years, I've lost cd-keys and gone through many different computers and reformats. Everytime I installed a new copy of '42, I got the new GUID and linked it to my TWL account. I think I have three or four different GUIDS added since 2006. If I can add that many, I'm sure all of you can add one. =]

As an admin, I would care. As a "former" admin, I don't.

Everyone knows everyone, let's just play.
I never payed much attention to this in the past I just made sure I always had it...

But isn't GUID todo with punkbuster??? And since PB is no longer supporting '42 is there a point? If its not todo with it then game on

Which is why I was asking to dubb do we put PB on on the server cos mine kept saying old version but I got it figured out.
