There's my 8 choices... and it really pains me that Gazala/El Alamein are not in there.

They sound good Iwo was always a fun map...

Why not play some Kursk?

I personally like that map a lot, it's really simple and has tanks planes and everything you'd want in a map.

Liberation of Caen would be a good one, too. I guess what I meant was, What map do you guys want to play come first match? Bocage? Battleaxe?

i think that'd be cool. maybe 3 maps, 1 round per map? like a coin toss to decide sides.. then again there would inevitably be bitching

it would be cool to have one of each region. like a russian map, desert map, and a euro map. or variety on what kind of maps like rotating a flying map (ala el alamein), then a tank map, and an infantry map. something like that.

I like these suggestions so far. I think we should go back to the older ladder match rules. 3 maps. each team plays axis, and allied. Most tickets wins the map etc. We are all in this to play the game, and we should play as much of it as we can. I do like the plane/tank/infantry and the Russian/ocean/desert

^ I agree here, since there's only 3 matches total. If timing became an issue, we can always spread a match over 2 nights or something.

I think we need maps that are balanced for both teams. If this was an entire season, then it would make more sense to include some of the less symmetrical maps.

Why are people picking King of the Hill? Thats like the worst map ever created in '42. I'd rather play coral sea every match.

Kursk (air) (both have uncaps)
Bocage (air) (both have uncaps)
Tobruk (no air) (no uncap for allies)
Bulge (no air) (no uncap for allies)
Kharkov (air) (both have uncaps)
Stalingrad (no air) (both have uncaps)
Battleaxe (air) (both have uncaps)
Forager (no air)(both have uncaps)

4 air maps + 4 anti-air maps
6 of 8 have uncap bases for both teams

All of these maps have decent balance to them also.

Wake and Iwo were left out only because one team starts without a land spawn, which is too unbalanced, making it easy to lock down by air and rape for some teams. If one of these two HAD to be played Iwo would be best IMO.

I like the maps but I would rather see forager in a final instead of stalingrad so I would switch those 2 around. Can't really think of another infantry map worth playing, maybe there is a custom map that is mostly infantry?

Otherwise cupcake is on top of his shit except for tobruk should be replaced by kursk. that sounds good, gazala is acceptable for third map of 2nd round. word
