i just got this game. i'm trying to get in the air. rofl
as soon as get in the air. i'm straight hitting dirt after not too long unless i swing my mouse up and down side to side getting a jane fonda workout.
if i plan on being in this for long run. should i switch to something other then mouse? what do u recommend? if what, what kind?
Same as anything, practice. I use a mouse, I can fly those bad boy planes under a bridge.
The key is to use very slight movements.
Also, practice on the smaller planes, they are much easier to manuever.

well I use a cordless infrared mouse and keyboard it works for me, I tried a joystick and it just was not the same after playing with a mouse for about 4 months. Just create your own game (locally) and like Sambuca said start with small planes, learn it is very small movements on the mouse and just basically practice practice practice
If you have a joystick use it. If not get one. When it comes to flying it's so much easier with a joystick.

I'm not saying the mouse/keyboard combo won't work, some are very good at it. But most flying games are best with a joystick...so why not use it to fly in BF.

ya i have a gamepad. was just using that. hell of a whole lot easier. i was hoping there was a way with mouse though. now that i hear u guyz say it's koo to use i'm just gonna practice with it for a few. late
ya it's possible. but damn it's a bitch to fly. hella hard. gonna take some getting used to. btw, there an option to change crosshair?
You can change the crosshair's color but I'm not sure about the crosshair itself.
I used the wasd and arrow keys to fly. Im not bad eathier. Its a matter of personal preferance.
curious how many of u fly with invert mouse off? i played with it on for a couple hours, but found it easier with it off.
I play all games with the inverted mouse on. I found that my mouse settings were just too sensitive to fly properly so I switched to the pure keyboard method (wasd and arrow keys) but I am planning to get a joystick eventually.
