Yup, you're right. Its tight notice, but its preseason. Your opponent has a match thursday as well so feel free to change the date.

Err, I think what he means is maybe someone ought to have made a post saying something along the lines of, "the league will be opening pre-season next week, matches will be defualt on turs night's." Not that we notice it ourselves out of the blue.

I sent a mass mail out last week and put a notice up on the TWL page (announcement) over the weekend. It clearly stated as such. Sorry for the inconvience there.

This is the email I received about the league in its entirety...

"The Battlefield 1942 Short League is gearing up. This Friday - November 30th - is the deadline to get your rosters up to 10 members which is the minimum number. After Friday teams will be removed until they can bring their roster up.

If you wish to be removed until a later date please let me know. If you have any questions just let me know. Good luck!"

Tell me when in there you see a date, or anything more specific then "gearing up".

well what time do we play and how do we know what maps we play?

It's preseason. Don't stress out. My clan had to cancel a scrim because of this. There's no penalty for missing the preseason match. Just don't miss next weeks

I know that i tried to contact all of the clans in my division via their listed emails, member emails, and irc channels. Over 1/2 the info on your team page or bio pages is incorrect. So don't blame us for not trying. If you signed up for the league it is your responsibility to keep informed. We all have email and irc channels listed if you need to contact reign, napkin, or myself.

My responsability to faithfully check the division standings page to see when the league in fact is going to begin? Instead of simply posting a blurb on the front page stating, "the Battlefield 12v12 league will be having its first preseason match next week on the 5th of december, everyone involved get ready for the combat to begin". Obviously my email works, as i got the email i posted.

My point was/is, adding a date when preseason matches would begin in the email which I received and posted on here would have been more then sufficent and avoided my complaint over it.

Um, I believe I already apologised for this oversight.

Actually, I didnt specifically say "We're sorry" so..

We're sorry for the short notice. We will make an effort to ensure these dates are made clear in the future.

I only responded in reference to maherdog's excuse, nothing more or less, apology was accepted, didn't like the excuse though.
