Map Modding....

Hey, does anyone know anything about map modding? I have done it and the copy i made of the map i wanted to mod didnt work...if anyone knows anything my xfire is litz2o1o and msn is xxlitzingerxx@msn.com contact me there if you can help me..

Well...you don't leave much in the way of details about your problem, so I think that's why everyone's so reluctant to dive in and help...at least that's my perspective. Post a little more about the problem you're having and it will be more probable that someone will be able to help.

Yeah.... wth are you talking about? Server side mods? Map making? Cartography? Actual maps from the war?

It's not clear at all from what you posted... *shrugs*

I believe he means making server-side map modifications (changing of tanks/planes/cars/apcs/whatever)

Cartography... is that like topographicl map making?

sry... what i mean is who knows what u need to do to files when ur putting them on ur server after u mod them so other players can join the server and they wwont have to dolwnload ur version of the map... ater i looked at my post one more time i thought.. wow i didnt even tell them what the problem was...

The only modifications you can make server-side to a map that won't require client downloads is adjusting spawns and vehicle spawns. Otherwise clients will have to download the map.

I'm also pretty sure you'll have to set content check to 'off' on your server.
