As some of you may have noticed, Barwinator posted regarding the 1.6 BFSecure client update and Server 1.2 update. However just 24 hours after the 1.6 release here is 1.61 which has some additional stuff requested. Below is the full feature list of client 1.6 and server 1.2, also included (marked 1.61) is the stuff added to the latest version. Also we have a brand new full installer (installs 1.61G), this installer contains every single file you would need to install and run BFSecure, and if you are having problems getting BFSecure to run or it's crashing, try installing fresh with the setup.exe.
Server changes:
- Release of a new, 100% working, serverside log system complete with a new retrieval system. Clients will be able to request the log from the BFSecure server once every short period of time. The extensive changes should eliminate previous problems to do with the log.
- Bug fix: spacing problems on server side logs fixed.
- The server now has an information/error window which gives specific details as to the servers settings.
- Auto-startup ability via server side added (to set BFSecure as a server and have it restart when it crashes)
- Client disconnections are now fully logged.
- Fixed errors with the incorrect number of people being listed.
- Fixed errors regarding the server not properly ending network connections.
- Release of a new installation program.
Client changes:
- Addition of a favorites system, allowing you to keep two of your most accessed BFSecure servers quickly available.
- Ability to save the server logs, which have been retrieved for the client, to disk.
- Fixed some minor color pallet problems.
- Number of users is now displayed in the drop down "Connected" list.
- Removal of cursor arrows over buttons. (allowing the use of your own Windows cursor)
- Scanner three false positives being adjusted. There is a very rare bug which happens to 1 out of 500 people or so.
- The client side logs are still being placed in the "Cheaters Found" box from time to time. This will be fixed, at the end of a match you will request the log and it is sent to every user, instead of random sending.
- Screenshots are being implemented once again for week #8.
- Releasing new auto-updater with some fixed bugs.
- Real-time user list via client side.
- Bug fix: repeating wave file.
- Release of a new installation program.
- Added an additional favorite to the list. (1.61)
- Totally new Desert Combat cheat detection. (1.61)
- Client Side logs now report less (BFsecure Found Opens) (1.61)
- Fixed bug where it wouldn't save your last used configuration. (1.61)
- BFsecure creates a unique hash-key based on users computers, if a cheater is caught and banned, we will use this hash-key to prevent cheaters from playing in matches. (1.61)
- When BFSecure client checks for an updated version, it now checks 3 mirrors instead of just one, you should never see it say "server down" again. (1.61)
- Fixed the BFSecure logo up-top, on some computers it wasn't stretched to fit the box. (1.61)
- Battlefield1942 1.6 Compatability. (1.61)
LiveUpdater Update
This is an optional update, it fixes some issues with first time users operating the live updater. I also added 3 mirrors on the auto-updater to download from different places. Not having the latest version of live update, will not prevent you from playing in matches, however this new one has more mirrors which is good
BFSecure Client 1.61G is now available, if you already have BFSecure installed, you may use your current liveupdate.exe application to update to the latest version.
