call me a newb (well I am) but i've been owning easy and normal cpu's and moved up to insane cpus...how come they get 20+ gold/lumber? thats not insane...thats cheating i've spent about 3-4 days on them trying to figure out how they do so well, I recorded a demo and bam! sure enough, they cheat

Ensemble did the same shit w/ AoE. It wasn't better AI...it was AI with cheats.

A human player can consistently beat a computer on equal footing. gasp!

if you played starcraft, you will remember that at one point, bliz caved in to player demands and made an "insane" difficulty computer opponent. This opponent would be given 2000 of each resource if he had less than that amount.


It's called "insane" for a reason
