How is xp calculated?

I sometimes kill a creep and dont get the xp at all, so I'm rather confused as to how xp is done.

And what about a hero with units? I wonder if I get the same xp if I kill the creep alone or with 13 frost wyrms.
You can learn all about it here.

As for getting 0 exp, I think that's a bug that happens on rare occasions. I've seen it a few times too.
It's calculated by magical faries that live inside each and every unit. With electronic calculators. And wands.
That joked sucked. Try again plz

So you dont get less xp if your units are around? cuz I distinctly remeber something about high food units diminish xp and no units boost it. Maybe the fairy LIED!!!!!!
Units in area have no effect.

If a creep is worth 20 exp, then your hero will get 20 exp no matter how many units are around. However, if you have 2 heroes around, then they will both get 10 exp.

A situation that is not explained by the battle.net/war3 site: Two opposing heroes by the same creep. Do they split the exp when the creep dies? Does all the exp go to the hero who is responsible for killing the creep? I don't know the answer to that one, gonna have to try it.

Also, what happens when a hero is shadowmelded, or otherwise invisible, when a creep dies near by. I don't know.
im pretty sure they still get xp
their auras just dont work for other units
That'd be cool. I'd run my necros over by the AM and stuff
