Chim/Dryad

Any ideas how to overcome this? Obviously, you're faced with hunts and shit first till they can get a few chims up. I can't web...dryads dispel...I couldn't use many gargs...dryads lol..plus scroll of healing. This isn't a new combo or anything, but I think this is probably more effective than hunts/dryads. SF is pulled of SO easily here as the PotM is covered by chims. Needless to say, DH/PotM is the hero combo you have here, The PotM usually being the higher lvl of the two.
SlayerofFilth
I dont think you can dispel web. but I'd just run cuz the chims are slower than the rest of their army.
Rotate the screen = hammered or sleeped PotM in starfall.
web is dispellable. Well I know WoN's work on it. SF is the least of your worries here. She usually won't be level 6 just yet. And you better believe they're focusing on your DL. Running works until you're back in your base =-\ I'm sure there's a way around it though
SlayerofFilth
My only idea would be mass casters + AM.... that way you could run those damn dryads outta mana...and finally polymorph all the chims.
I don't play hum ktnxbai
SlayerofFilth
Well you're screwed anyways... you're not NE midgame or Human late game then it's gg =).... Less u rush with undead which u don't do =P
^or your me who never attacks..... OH i know let's creep MORE!
I rush fine 1v1. I have trouble 2v2 cuz uhm...allies tend to not attack sufficiently :P as you just said right now.
SlayerofFilth
You need a better ally.

Captain_Kibitz plays undead and I play orc. We rush quite well together. I have a build that gets me 4 grunts and a hero by nightfall. CK has a lot of ghouls (9 I think?) by then.

My grunts go in first and tank. NightElf players allways seem to want to tech to huntresses without making any archers. Needless to say, they get raped pretty bad by an early rush.

The sooner you hit a NightElf base the better. Reason being, that moonwells only have 100 mana (of 300 max) when they are built, but they only regenerate mana at night. So if you rush their base shortly after the first nightfall, they won't have full moonwells yet. This minimizes the usefullness of the only early base defense that NightElf have.
rushing NE has always been the easiest way out..imo. I send in my first ghoul after I get 60 wood (enough for second sig). This usually ends up in me killing one wisp at least. VS noobs I can get 2. if they run the wisp to the wells, that's fine..at least they're not harvesting. Then I run when the hero comes out...doesn't really matter if the ghoul makes it home or not cuz the main rush is on its way by that time. Going in with 5 ghouls and a hero is pretty good. I find a DK is more useful in that he can keep the rush alive a bit longer. I know I won't kill an immolated DH so I concentrate on wisps. 1v1 this usually works fine. 2v2....rarely. I mean holy shit..I've had games where my ally and I kill a moonwell or 2..some wisps...a hunt or two..sometimes the hero...heavily damage an AoW...and still end up losing the game. Guess that's how rushes work in 2v2. Seriously..if his ally is pretty good, he won't let the other guy go down in flames.
SlayerofFilth
Tanks + sorcs late game and it's all over for most ppl.
o_O k...if you say so...
SlayerofFilth
Well, I think it's pretty much a no brainer.... if you have human and get into the late game with decent expansions and creeping, you've god a damn good chance to win....
not with tanks and sorcs nope nope nope.
SlayerofFilth
I did though

me vs 3 people. My mk is invincible after lvl 7 with 2000+ HP when he avatars. And theres a fountain of mana on cruicible.
So, your 3 opponents were all orc and they only built Shammans with peons for a meat shield?

Also, was it really a 3v1 game? Or was it actually a Free for All?

No, not at all (won+ any melee = owned) BUT imho, Human late game > others.
you have no business letting NE get chims out. If they are teching that hard they either wont have an expansion or wont have a tough force early on. Either way they are leaving themselves open. If they attempt to expand, kill it. If they don't, expand yourself and use your superior resources to get some air. If they dont fast tech then you should be able to counter it. If you're humans, gryphs will own chims/dryads and if they are heavy on chims, flying machines can do the job with a good ground force. Undead you can get wyrms, orcs get bloodlusted wyverns, other NE get some hipps and your own dryads. Everything is counterable.

It was 3 vs me. My allies got killed, but while they were getting killed, I killed workers with a few footies and razed this guy's entire base with tanks. I was trying to slow down them crushing through my ally's towers. They were NE and massed archers mixed with dryads. Yes, i'm amazed i won that one too.
as long as you build like 10 tanks before you die you can own any base. STEAM Tanks Own
now do chims use acid breath on the tanks?
I was thinking that but I've not seen it happen yet.

Btw, does chims have chain lightning out of their mouths or what? I swear I saw those bolts jump from one unit to another.
they have splash, not chain tho
you know what really pisses people off. 8 steam dropped in there base by zepplins now that pisses people off. although about the chimera dryad thing i have 1 answer 4 u GYROS!

i have a rock and i know how to use it 8^D
chim's acid breath is used on buildings, not things with fortified armor. also explains why acid is used on burrows, which are buildings with medium armor.
ok as i said b4 gyros but i forgot about the dryads um.... dryads uh use uh footmen ya thats it footmen with defend now that owns
i have a rock and i know how to use it 8^D

They'll never make it to them... Slow poison + defend = soooooo pitifully slow.
Cant run forever.

I still remember zp's replay on that dryad masser.

Ignore function was written but not implemented. There was a thread about it a while back on the t2 forums, but that was just too TW-ish so they didnt use it.
my conclusion for chim/dryads:

Human: get some gryphs
UD: good luck. maybe spider/abom combo and keep sleeping the chims.
Orc: You're screwed.
meh...just attack em early...I've figured that's the best way. I was stupid for letting him do that to me .
SlayerofFilth
Yes... and school's sooooooo close to being over.....
