Thinking of joining the DoW compettitions

Hello, all. I am considering getting into the DoW ladders on TWL, but, I have some questions. I am familiar with how TWL runs things being the leader of a FPS team that has, and continues, to compete in the America's Army and Call of Duty competitions here at TWL. The thing is, I have a few questions about the rules for DoW. How are maps chosen? Is it random? Do the match participants call the maps to be played?

Another thing is, how do you do the demos? I have only recently picked up the game, so it may be ingame and I just didn't notice, or is there an external program needed for this?

And, third, is this hostable on your home computer, or do you need to make arrangements to have a match hosted on an outside (possibly dedicated) server? Who is responsible for providing the server, the attacking team or the defender?

And, lastly, how are "sides" picked? Is someone assigned to play as, say, Space Marines and the opponent is assigned, say, the Orks? In 2v2, do both players on a team have to be the same "side", or, for example, could there be a SM/Ork mixture on a team?

I am sorry if these questions have been answered somewhere else, or if they are seen as "noob" questions, but, yeah, I AM a "noob" at DoW! LOL

Thanks in advance for your replies!
1. maps are random
2. after each map, there is a button on the score screen to save replay. just click that.
3. you log into the multiplayer room you are going to host/join the game.. the hosting computer is normally defender.
4. you can bick what ever team you want. orks eldar chaos or SM. you could have any combination.

anything else?
Alrighty. Thanks a lot! Now that you mention it, I knew about the demo thing...heck, I have recorded one of my own AND watched it by doing what you were talking. I think in my old-age I must be going senile! But, thank you again, for the response.
