Los Angeles area players read !!!!

If you live in the LA area or are able to get there I have MAJOR opportunity for you, but I need an answer ASAP!!!!

I just got off the phone with the G4TV folks. At 4:00pm PST tommorrow I need to turn in the names of 4 people to play some UT2k3 teams in AA on G4TV's Arena show.

Here's your chance to play AA Special Forces before anyone(excluding beta testers) and play it from a Virtual Reality pod.

The format is a bit different,you aren't battleing the other teams, you are battling the clock. Brief explanation:

Each team will play seperately on a new, unreleased map,in a fashion similar to an obsticle course. The team that runs the course in the shortest time will win. Did I mention one of the obsticles are hidden OpFor? And that if you don't use realistic tactics they start taking pot shots at you, which means you have get by them?

By realistic I mean just that- if you come to a road you need to know how the military would actually handle the situation.

Now for the details:

Date/Time- Monday, October 13th from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
Several matches will take place. If you win you have the option to continue on. The first team to win five times gets their names on the G4TV Hall of Fame. If you get to that point it will most likely require returning on Tuesday October 14th to finish.

Location- G4TV studio's in Los Angeles (address will be given to the participants)

The 4 players DO NOT need to be from the same teams. Between tommorrow and Sunday October 12th I will get with the four players and show them proper Army tactics for various situations. I will also be attending the taping to cheer you on.

I know ther are four of you out there that want to do this so please email me ASAP.

The final decision on who will play is mine and will be made at 3:00pm PST tommorrow.

i knew i would too. but seriously, it'd be an honor to play with some other clan members i normally dont get along with. because im sure it will help us all find some common ground.

btw psi? you cant get yourself in the squad? that sucks. would be neat to play along side ya, your army experience would come into good use then.

edit: i dont know how many LA players check this forum on a daily basis, but they better check soon.

This is also a good opportunity to show everyone outside of TWL that the negative comments made towards the teams here are not true.That your skill level,dedication, and attitude are in fact better than most.

Actually, that was not discussed. If they do say anything it is on their own accord. They asked me to find 4 players that I felt would accurately portray a AA team in both attitude and skill. I agreed without any stipulations regarding promoting TWL.

I am not limiting this to just the TWL players. I am posting on the official forums shortly also. But, this is one time where I don't have to worry about being accused of favortism or bias. I can be both if I want, but I'm not going to, except for TWL staff members. At some point they deserve to be paid back for the amount of time and dedication the spend trying to give you the best possible place to play. I owe at least one slot to an admin.

This may not seem like a big deal to some, but really, it is. I have been looking at some of their stats and they have a very large audience in several US markets.

But, I also owe it to the teams and players here and have shown us the support to consider their requests before those on the pubs. Because no matter what, I feel each of you here is more than qualified to do this and I have no doubts their is going to be some major butt kicking happening on the 13th. And it ain't gonna be anyone's butt here

it isnt tomorrow. he needs the names by tomorrow. the actual match would be on the 13th, which is a monday.

I would vounenteer and support AAO, 11W, and TWL all at once and do this, but I am too far from LA. Sorry.

No. Each of the participants has been warned that cannot release any information regarding the map or any details of the version they will be playing. If they do they will need to find a new game to play
