I want to buy a server, it does not have to be a leased one but i want it cheap as possiable. Can anyone help me?

Well {DS} using wickedservers and we love it. We have a TS server, and a webserver included in our price, and wickedserver cutomer support is amazing. I send a support ticket in and it's answered within 3 hours most of the time. I pay via paypal, and the money is withdrawn on the same day every month. I know Echoforce agrees with me. Wickedservers are great!

A friend of mine did buy on on the london internext exchange hub in a rack. He payed �2000 for it and has to pay for the banwith he uses + a yearly fee for the 1U rack space.

Is that what you are after?

Do you want to OWN a server or do you want to rent one? If you want to own the box then what you want to do is co-locate a server. Most places require a rack mounted server. You pay for the bandwidth you use. Very expensive. But you would have control over the machine. So you could run AA now, and BF1942 an hour from now. Still a very expensive option and you would still be paying monthly for the bandwidth.

Most groups rent a server from someone, wicked, vsk etc. You COULD pay for a year in advance or something like that but why would want to. You may want to switch providers or something.

What I think you are asking for is a one time payment for a server. That's not going to happen as you always have ongoing payments for your connection.

Check out http://www.wickedservers.com PHX has been using them for our web, AA and TS server host and couldn't be happier with the service and pings.
