might look at ddr3 ram (didn't look at the motherboard you chose to see if it supports it), if you got the coin

and get a case with more leds and fans so it looks neato, like this jet engine looking thing http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103010

Personally I would go with a PC Power & Cooling PSU

that looks good, more power and cheaper, It seems that 700/750W should be adequate for
this type system, true?

MB does not support DDR3, from what I have read (I have no personal knowledge) DDR3 doesn't make much of a difference until you get to the I7.

The tower isn’t quite my style lol

I would stick to one graphic card instead of 2 of the sapphire cards. If you are going to spend 150 x 2 why not just get a good nvidia card with more mem?

The cpu is good, I would get the antec 900 for less money.

If you go with only one graphic card chris's psu is good enough.

as far as video cards go, do you think that a single GTX 260, or even 280 what give
the same performance as the ATIs in crossfire? What would be the advantages of one
over the other?

Yeah that is a big savings on the tower

I am married with three kids, this is as close to a “Lady of the Evening” as I am gonna get

I personally would stick to one graphic card and not get a mobo that supports sli. It doesn't matter if the mobo supports it though, it's just my opinion. By the time you want to toss in another graphic card it will be time for a new rig. If this is for Americas Army only i would think your pc would be just fine.

That’s an eye opener. Yes, I primarily play AA.

Just another note in regards to PSU's, its not always the Wattage. A lot of times you want to look at how many Amps the 12V rails are pushing.

Here is a nice Guide for PSU's

http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=458204

My take on this article is the more rails the better, if true then the PS I was looking at (with 4 rails) would be a better choice. However, the 4 x 12v rails provide only 48 amps as opposed to the single rail of the PC Power PS, which provides up to 60amps.
What is it about the PC Power PS that you find superior?

Personally, I'd go with something a little more up to date..........
No reason really to bring up such an old dated thread. Locked.
