I last read this new option:

Competitive community
One new server setting should be of interest to the competitive gaming community we have added a new server option to disable shadows for everyone on the server (exploit fix/workaround)

I thought this wasn't even a bad idea... but i think all BIGGER THEN NORMAL SHADOW USERS may disagree on me.

and this will disable shadows altogether... i dont even have an ATI card and I think this is stupid

I think its great!

You only get the shadow hacks when shadows are enabled.

So if no one has shadows then its fair.

Who cares if they take shadows out or not? Means you need more sound and teamwork. I don't really depend on shadows at all but what does everyone think, get rid of it or not? I say we should since people seem to be exploiting it.

it would be nice to be rid of the huge square around the character, but i would of thought other gameplay fixes and demos are needed more atm.

Imo it isnt that big of a advantage in matches. It gives pubstars abit of advantage though.

with or without. same game. if you need shadows to play then you wouldn't be competing, you'd be pubbing it up and enjoying the fantasy.

I would much rather them actually fix shadows rather than remove them. But hey, why fix a bug when you can just disable it. Pffff, fixing bugs... that might be your way, but that's not the Army way..

I play better without them, but maybe it is because I pay more attention and do less stupid stuff than having them on.
