i seen a homelan guy post that on offical servers that door blocking would get you banned does this apply to TW matches? of course you wont get banned but is it premited.
Door blocking is a cheat in TWL matches and if a screen shot proves your guily you will forfiet thta match.

What if you allow the door to be opened, then close it in their face? Or if the door opens, you hear the spoon come off a nade then you close the door so they can eat their own nade?

Ok i remember facing Marion's Brigade on insurgent camp & they stormed BPC & door blocked it while one of there teamies where caping the PC but we won that match in OT
I have to agree on this one...I'm not going to be by a door and let someone toss a nade in at me...I think they are referring to an actual guy sitting in front of the door so you can't open it...not playing door games
I think it needs to be clarified as to how you can shut the door and if you hear a nade can you door block and any other details...with shutting or blocking doors. Thanks
I was going to reply to this, but it has been an extremely long day. So, I am going to wait till tommorow when I've had some sleep. Hopefully, I will be able to post something that resembles making sense.

i think the rule is:
You cannot block a doorway with the soul purpose of keeping someone from passing through. An example would be closing a door everytime someone opened it before they could go through. An un-example would be closing the door when you hear a fragmentation grenade pin pop.

That's pretty damn close. There are a couple of examples where it would be a judgement call by the ladder admin. One would be if there were multiple entrances, but only one was blocked.

BTW- MaxX, check the email address in you profile please.

Constant doorblocking should not be allowed EVEN if another entrance is available. (Or did I misunderstand your point psi?)
If there are multiple entrances and only one is being blocked, it is the admins call as to whether or not the 'blocking' affected the gameplay adveresly.

In other words,if there are three entrances and one is being blocked and you raise issue with the one door being blocked, don't be surprised if an adminasks you "Why didn't ou use another door?"

I have talked with a few official people about clarifying what Chemical X was refering to. You notice he hasn't posted a response?

Blocking the only Entrance to prevent OpFor from getting through is a no-no. Blocking any entrance to prevent friendlies from getting through is a no-no.League wise.

Ok, now this has basically already been covered, but I just want to make sure: If an opfor pulls the pin on a nade, is it ok to sit there and play door games (open,close,open,close,etc...) to keep him from tossing the nade in? I'm thinking in real life one could hold the door closed if they knew an enemy was going to try to toss a nade in.
Sigh...It'll be nice when we can shoot through doors...
Agreed.

Well, maybe like in R6, nade the door and if someone is behind it, byebye.

Or if you cant open the door one way becouse it is blocked, maybe it should open the other way.
That would certainly be one way of countering it, but I can't imagine the doors just going bye bye like that.
12 year old wussies that are going to grow up and bag groceries for a living. That's what those "door blockers" are. Let's not mince words here fella's. We ALL know the difference between someone shutting a door to prevent nades, or just to give time to retreat, and someone door blocking. For example, I'm in S&R in Weapons Cache with the door shut. Someone opens the door and I blast him, then shut the door. That's NOT door blocking. Now if I stand there at the door and everytime someone opens the door I quickly shut it on them, that IS door blocking. And cowardly to boot. Yes, being able to shoot through doors may seem like it would alleviate the problem, but I could foresee these same lamers practicing just standing in front of a door at the right angle to say pick off people on an angle hiding like at the bottom of the steps in Weapons Cache. If I open a door more than 2 times in a row and have it shut in my face everytime, that's deliberate door blocking, and the fags should be banned from ALL TWL activities. Maybe the Army should put up special servers for these pricks. "Lamers East 12", "Lamers West 14". Let them be gay with each other.
Yeah, blockin doors is lame, it pisses me off, I often have words with ppl doin that, even if we r in the same team...
Just one thing I would like to note. Psi was saying how if one door is being blocked and you complain you may just get in reply "Why didn't you goto the others"? The reasoning I would have to say on some maps is that teams have strategies for a reason - they don't want people going to those other doors/entrances. Im just trying to be sure here that if say..somebody on Cache was to constantly sit there and keep the Shipping door from ever opening to keep you out - and then if we were to screenshot and file a complaint - would we just be turned away because there are 2 other doors?

Ok, look at it from the flip side. Your strategy is to use a certain door. Is it wrong for a team to try and disrupt your strategy?

When you plan, you should always have a contigency in case things go wrong.

BTW-the overhead involved with allowing rounds and grenade fragments to penetrate solid object with the Unreal engine is astronomical. Don't get your hopes up. About the best they could do is have them open both ways. Ahh poop... wasn't supposed to say that.
