Squad Ethics?

Its sad to see some squads (or their members) do some really sad things. Lately, the following has occured, which I think is unforgiveable, and truly gives squads in general a bad name, both on and off the battlefield.

For example,

In one MATCH, a squad trapped an op for in a room, alone, and shot him dead, (during a non-live round).

In one match, a squad opened fire on another squad during a non live round, then blamed the opposing squad for opening fire.

In IRC, a squad has an auto ban feature for anyone who is in a particular channel, to be auto banned upon entering another. (as in if im in channel abba, and join channel bebe, I will be banned from bebe because im in abba)

Curses being called to the opposing squad, "Your a **** head, your team sucks" on more occasions then I can count.

Countless other occasions which are sickening. Guys, we are all AA players. We are all AA players who come here for something more. Just because my tag doesnt look like your tag ([BuBBa] <> [FrEE]) does not mean I cant hang around, talk or play with you right? I invisioned a league where after each map, we can talk to each other after the game, regardless of the result.

I would love to get to know you all, because, well, you guys are the community. As a community, we play togather on a ladder. Does this mean we are enemies? No. I am all for rivalries, but outright hatred over a computer game perplexes me. Lets stop the negative behavior and enjoy AA for AA. I dont need to be called a "Stupid f***ing qu**r" just because I won, and I certainly wont name call if I lost.

For the most part, most squads agree with me. I know a FEW, who are the squads lacking ethics, and its terrible. Your destroying the community, and I would ask if you leave. I like to look forward to matches, being test intellectually (do my strats work?) but as matches go on of insult after insult, I want to beat the opposition not for fun, or skill, but rather just to get them to shut the f*** up.

Remember, the members of this community are probably the ones who will stick with this game the longest. I wanna weed out the immature ones fast. So I can enjoy upcoming matches.

Whether you agree with us or not, I have 7 other [De] who agree with me that your team member flashbanged all of us during a dead round. We couldn't see for 30 seconds and when we could we killed him. If you're going to get your feathers in a ruffel over that you should find soemthing better to do with your time. Didn't psicotic say something about not bringing in-game issues into the forums? I think he did.

Hmm, I don't browse these forums too often, but to be honest Maxx, you had some real morons in your clan in GO and it appears those same morons are still on your AA roster.

Well OK Hizawk. IF this is since this is happening in a match. You need to Get the logs and email them to you ladder Admin so We can deal with it.

Well We can't prevent clans form banning other player form there mIRC channels

But we can Ban member who are disrepeatful to other TWL member and this is BIG Only if they are Disrepeactful DO TO A TWL related INCIDENT. Ex. you win a match and they start calling you Names and Post lies about you and your clan on the fourms or anywere else.

Hizawk, there first two paragraphs were not necesary.After that, I most whole heartedly agree.

Up until this point, I have been very flexible concerning just warning squads about their behaviour.This is not going to happen any longer.This ladder is starting to become highly visible to people outside this community. This ranges from major fansite coordinators to other league coordinators asking if they can adopt our rule sets (not just 1 league, but 3) to the Developers themselves. You will act accordingly.

There are no more warnings people. From now on if you do or post ANYTHING that can be considered 'unsportsman like' I will use the maximun punishment I feel necessary. AT A MINIMUM you will find yourselves at the very bottom of the ladder.This goes for ANYONE, I do not care who it is. It can be the #1 team. And I am not going to buy the 'don't punish the whole team for the actions of one'.Team founders are responsible for the actions of their players.If you can't control them, I will remove your team.

I suggest everyone read the rule in the general sectio that covers sportsmanship:

"...judgment/punishment will be swift, efficient and final."

Take it to heart.

BTW-AN is right. We cannot control anything that happens outside of Teamwarfare.Just don't bring it here.
