Does 1st person view create lag?

Does forced 1st person view create any more lag on the server than forced 3rd person?

Would forced "fade to black" be better, or does it not make any difference at all?
I haven't notices anymore lag but I still would like a black screen when dead.
As long as black screen is a configurable server option I think it would be useful. For public servers it is good to be able to ghost players, both for clans that are talent scouting and for new players that can learn from old hands by watching them.

For private server clan wars, a black screen would ensure no ghosting with voicecomms for those who are worried about this.

Regarding lag, I've not noticed any difference.

in first person u see no more than the player does, so it makes no difference... And even in matches im bored to death and need SOMETHING to do, cant risk minimizing AA and crashing losing my team precious lives

Roger that Hannibal. "Ghosting" or not, it's a game, and I don't want to sit around bored to death if I die early.

Exactly. There's no need for a black screen. You can't give the player any more information than he already has.
Blacking out the screen will prevent the requested screen shots, ask for in the case of a dispute. So I don't think that is an option.
it doesnt create any extra lag than 3rd person - instead opf floating behind them, your floating in them. and thefact you cant change your view (ie swing the camera around) might actually reduce lag.

no, but it makes your Video card work harder, thus you may look like experiencing lag if you have a weak video card

Pyro: I totally agree, I would not enjoy sitting around watching a black screen for 5+ minutes if I get killed early.
