A word about cheats

There are some new cheats going around.I am not going to specify what they are.If you are using them, please leave.

I have had a quite lengthy discussion about the subject with the dev's and I can asure you, it is not very hard to tell if they are being used.

The site that is providing the cheats has been reported to the devs.

I would like to remind you all that playing with any file other than runserver.bat and server.ini is copyright infringement. There have been numerous prosecutions so far.Folks,the US Army ain't playing around.Not only does it break US copyrights, it also breaks International copyrights. The Army is intent on making sure this game does not turn into another CS.

What poeple who are using these cheats fail to know is that when a certain file is modified it leaves a very big foot print in another file. This file is easily checked by the HomeLAN Master Authorization Server.The same thing that checks for skin hacks is now being added for the new cheats.

Also, be very careful.There are numerous beta testers in this league, all of whom pretty much know what is normal and what is not, that's their job.If I receive a something from a beta tester concerning their suspicion of someone using a cheat, you can rest assured I will follow up on it.

I remember beta testing for Counter-Strike well over 6 yrs ago (yes I'm old) and taking so much pride in the game...Hackers destroyed the game,we tried to develope an anti cheat Punk-Buster,and that was shot down.
I love this game,many of my friends love this game,if you cheat go somewhere else, there is plenty of your kind playing Counter-Strike.
I am glad to see that TWL is on top of it, and the Dev notified, if anyone knows who is cheating or using these cheats email the admins here at TWL.

It's good to see that the US Army is doing something about it.

I have just seen screenies how the cheat works.

It goes without saying that a cheating team will not happy with the outcome should one or more of there members be found using cheats in a TWL ladder game.

All Squad leaders should make sure there members are fully aware of the above facts.

As many other I came to AA from CS. I was impressed by the good nature of my fellow players and the fact that no cheats was around. I don't wan't to see all the time I have invested in this game be lost because of cheaters

well after i read the above post i went out to check out the cheat site where i found the Color Aimbot seems there are a lots of cheats brewing concerning no breathing as well as no recoil with this i mean they change the way the CEM works also saw something being mentioned about an invulnerability cheat i hope them cheating lamas will burn in hell goodbye AA is all i can say was fun wont take long for this game to get filled with cheats and you start to see them on every damn server

Find a way to stop cheaters in this game im fed up with having to play against cheaters in muti-player games ........i used to play CS in the old days like beta 1.3 n so on.........that was sooooo much fun and the game was sooo good back then.......its been completly ruined do not let this happen to AA.

Thanks Psi for helping make this a great game to play.

Everyone we've played so far on this ladder seems very reputable. I think if someone IS cheating on this ladder it would be a very very small percentage of the entire group.

The fog hack doesn't really bother me too much either, I'm usually about 2 inches from my screen when looking for people so I'd say I can spot them pretty quickly with fog on.

Anyhow. Just wanted to add my input.

Now I will continue to make sure I am only playing on your servers Psi. After the amount of accusations my team receives I am doubley happy that I chose your servers tonight.

I would also like to take this moment to let people know to ST-6 DOES NOT CHEAT and certainly doesnt appreciate the accusations. STOP ASKING AND START PRACTICING LIKE MY PLAYERS DO.

Focus on communication within your team and adequately naming places so you can say "I am at silos corridor" and they know where you are.. that way when you die the other team will call you cheaters instead of us, because all your buddies will be waiting for them and will surely gun them down.

Well all I can say Machine is some of your players DO Cheat. Does the ST-6 cheat as a whole, no idea. Do some of it's players do, you bet. Now I'm not one to say anyone cheats, I've been around long enough in the gaming area both gaming & designing for years so I don't say anything on a wim here. There were players on your team lastnight who had WAY too many "one shot" kills while, running sideways and jumping over stuff at the same time as the one shot kill. This is not with the enemy standing still either. Now I can see a player jumping over a wall while running and the enemy running and a lucky one kill shot happening. But not 2,3 or 4 times in a row. Excuse me, but I'm not a dumb player and the shit I saw lastnight and the amount of "one time" kill from some of your players through all the matches has me thinking someone is cheating in your group and you should find out who is doing it. I could go on and on with some the shit we saw during the match lastnight but I won't. I'll just say I'll not be playing against you guys again after what I saw. Now before you flame me saying I suck and can't play etc. I'm not good nor bad. I win some and I lose some both alone and as a team. Yes there are good players out there which I like to think I'm one, but when some players are "too good" then you wonder. Some of your players went beyond this "too good" lastnight and from what I hear other matches and on normal game servers.

Well that's my two cents worth and start flaming if you will, but if you have any guts you'll look into your players and find out what the hell going on.

In defense of ST-6, they are good. Plain and simple. Accusing them of cheating on open forums is just plain ignorant.

Unless you have proof. Please do not start pointing fingures at each other. If you have proof Please emial the Ladder admins and show them your proof. Do not start throwing out accusations on this forum. thank you

I have a very hard time believing ANYONE from ST-6 would cheat.

I have played with and against most of these guys since the game was released. They play hard. They practice ALOT, and play very well as a team (communication wins matches).

Although, I haven't got to play alot with their new members, I still find it hard to believe they would be cheating, and until you can post proof, don't post accusations.

Just with the hope of starting a flaming war:
ST-6 has clarified that they don't cheat. Most people will believe this statement. They have been accused of cheating, and have been defended by several people. The person that accused you obviously thinks you cheat, and I doubt you'll be able to convince him otherwise - so don't bother trying. Those that believe you cheat will continue to believe it. Those that believe you don't cheat will continue to believe it. You don't have a bad reputation with anyone but the accusers - don't change that by replying with a flame towards the accuser...it won't accomplish anything.

First off I'm not nor did I purposely post this to intentionally harm another team. The topic is "A word about cheats". I didn't say ST-6 cheats as a team, I just posted that some of their players do, if they or you want to believe that or not is your choice. Proof? Sure, I'll hack into someone's computer so I can see what programs they use. When you start using or doing things with a game engine or game that is beyond the scope of normal playing to get an edge over someone else that can't is cheating. As for you Hannibal-Lecter, grow up. I posted in my view what I saw and what I saw is beyond the scope of ANY player doing in this game engine without help of some sort. I still stand by my statement though, and to those ST-6 players who play normal like everyone else does by the rules, I'm sorry about the post. To those who I speak of in my post, bewarned that others are onto what's going on.

There are several players in -fHr- that can get those one-hit kills.. I'm not quite sure how the game lets it happen, but none of us are cheating. So it is quite possible without cheating. This has been happening since I first started playing, I'd see people scream "cheater" when someone really good came on and schooled them. If you think someone's cheating, contact an AGA in the AA IRC channel...

I too have played since game came out and i have played some of the best. and i hate to say anyone one does cheat. some people are good and some aren't,but i will also say i have seen people cheating. i am a good enough player to know when that is happening. i jsut think it is sick that people want to turn this game into cs. as for my skill i welcome anyone to come to homelan 30e,35e,36e and give me a try, i love playing people i know. and one shot kills do happen but not every time you see them and as soon as they come into veiw. i myself have been shot by a person jumping a rail.

[FR] I have heard alot of good stuff about your team. You have received the same "compliments" as ST-6 has (If you could call accusations that) and have had to deal with it too. I truely look forward to Monday because [FR] & ST-6 both end up winning no matter what.

PS: I never heard ST-6 complain about thier loss to 82nd where Rodimus single-handedly kicked our asses. Why you might ask? Because he is a kick ass kinda player and we dont cry cheater even though Rodimus, being the stud killer he is, "one shot" killed us repeatedly on Tunnel. GO Rodimus! (BTW to point out: We made a point to kill Rodimus as quick as possible because you guys repeatedly fell apart after he was down. Maybe you should think about that for a while then you should thank god Rodimus is on your team.)

we all must watch out for cheats in aa. that can only hurt us. as for what bones posted. his beliefs,can't be proved,YET. with luck we can weed out the cheats for this game before they get big.
as for one shot kills bone was not talking aoubt one or 2 rounds he was talking about most rounds. not saying some of you cheat,just saying there were alot of strange things in that match. take this as and how you will. cause personally i don't care.
p.s. tell your team mates also it is in bad form to come on public servers saying you kicked out asses and thrashed us and that we are easy kills. if i could have i would have smacked that guy. some joking is ok but he was annoying.

btw, 82nd does practice and we know what we are doing. so keep your jabs at us to yourself machine.

well machine, when i say i was dropped with alot of one shots i am not lying. and i never came out said you cheat. so hold your tongue. there could have been a few reasons for the fast dying(lag,etc),but I KNOW HOW I WAS KILLED. so do not say i am lying. and i would like to talk about this off a puble forum. but not if you are going to be an ass about it. and you have kept alot of this going with your shit too kid.

For the record you team has several members who have SPECIFICALLY said ST-6 cheats. There are no ifs and or buts about it.

82nd's players brought this shit to the table flamin away in public. This is a public problem, dont cry lets take it elsewhere when your the ones who brought it here.
