I. There are many matches that need changes such as resceduling and match kills. If your team needs a change and you email a ladder admin, always make sure to add a link to your team profile or match comms. Some teams do this everytime and we appreciate it, but most teams do not. If you want your match killed or date/time changed quickly, then give us a link so we can handle it right then.
II. Many teams have found it easier and quicker to discuss match issues in ways other than the match comms (I.E. Teamspeak, MSN, AIM, IRC, Etc.) Remember, if you do this, always come back to the match comms and confirm it there. Admins have no way of knowing or proving that match changes were agreed upon by both teams if you dont. We also dont know that a change or agreement has been made for other reasons such as disputes and sometimes will cause your team to be forfeited when you agreed on something anywhere besides the match comms.
III. An email that I keep getting is the email where a team has attacked another team, but doesn't have a server. So they are emailing me, requesting a server. TWL does not provide free servers for competition. Your best bet is to go ahead and rent a server (you can find one here http://twlhosting.teamwarfare.com) or you need to find a friend who has a server and ask them to borrow it. Again, if your team challenges, and cannot provide the server, your team will be forfeited in most cases.
IV. I have been receiving many emails from teams that challenged a team, and the defending team did not accept the match within 48 hours so the defender was "Admin Forfeited." If this happens, the niether the attacking team nor the defending teams win/loss record changes. Technically, since the challenge was never accepted, it is not considered a win. We do not give wins because it is a time controlled (48 Hours) action. Here is an explanation.
"Admin Forfetied match" - this shows up in match history if a team was challenged and failed to accept the match within 48 hours, or a team attacked a team and the defender accepted and the attacking team failed to confirm 1 of the 2 given times. It does not change the record of either team since it is based on a given 2 days. It does show up in the match history because teams are only allowed to have 3 of these "Admin Forfeited matches" within a 45 day period. If they receive 3 within a 45 day period, they will be removed.
"Not Played" - This is given when a team accepts the challenge, and the time is confirmed, but one of the teams fails to show. A "No Show" dispute has to be filed and the Admin actually goes into the teams Admin Panel and forfeits the team for not showing up for the match. This does change the record since the match time/date was confirmed but they didn't show up.
