i'm about to reformat and want to download the audigy 4 drivers so i can just install those instead of the dirvers that came with my card, anyone have a link please?

but before i do i'm wondering who has tried it, and how'd it work?

It works perfectly for every "normal" Audigy, just not the value or LSes

Why can't creative count ? (or is this another euro/american thing like: colour/color, 1234/124)

Can you seriously use the audigy 4 drivers with audigy 2 zs?? Can someone who has done this please give me info because I have the zs and this could come in handy. ty.

Im using those for a while...do start thinkin that you will transform your audigy 2 into audigy 4...the truth is that audigy 4 as almost the same specs has audigy 2ZS...the ggod thing of those drivers is you will have more clear sound ( im using 5.1 zalman, that helps too) and you will have new options with creative software that were bloked in audigy 2ZS

audigy 4 instead of 3 bc apparently it is a bad number or summert in japan and they have a big japanese market so they jus skipped a number...well i think thts wht i read somewhere...

The number "Four" in Japanese is shi. "Death in Japanese is also pronounced shi." for this reason most Japanese try to avoid that sound.
Some hospitals in Japan does not have the numbers, 4, 9, 14, 19, or 42 for any room. Number 9 is pronounced ku in Japanese rhyming with a different word which means pain or worry. Number 42 is pronounced shi-ni meaning to die. Number 420 is shi-ni-rei which means a dead spirit, and number 24 is ni-shi or double death. Especially in the maternity ward, some hospitals refrain from using the number 43, shi-zan, because it means still-birth.

just create a system restore point before you do it if you are worried.

i installed them 4 times already, nothing happened.

and yes, when i dled them i got like 5kbits per second in my 2mbit connection...

i use Zalman Theatre 6 (5.1) and i can hear farther and clearer, but im not using the in-game EAX function, i think u would get a louder echo with these drivers and the in-game EAX.

im trying to host the drivers but im not sure if i can, having some problems with it.

I'm having issues trying to uninstall the old drivers and software. I get some error in the uninstall wizard.

i am pretty sure the drivers on the origional link were teaked ..... so the official ones wont work....

your not meant to have mixer install with this drivers.... its meant to be a clean set of drivers , so dont expect any of the old programs to work...
