Effective Sunday March 13, 2005 @ 11:59pm
The update for PamUO everybody has been waiting for is here. PamUO v3.01 will be used as the required server modification for ALL TeamWarfare Call of Duty United Offensive Ladders. The only Gametypes that do not use the Ready-Up function of PamUO are Base Assault, HeadQuarters, and Domination. PamUO v3.01 is still required to be on the server for Base Assault, HeadQuarters, and Domination gametypes as it fixes many map exploits.
PamUO v3.01 is available in the TWL Downloads section. Filename PAMUO_V3_01.zip. Teams may use it before the effective date if agreeable by both teams in match comms.
*Important:
You MUST remove the previous PamUO version and the TWLRule file. Make sure the two previous pk3 files (zzz_svr_pamuo_v2_6.pk3 and zzz_svr_twlrules_v1_1.pk3) are deleted/removed from your server. See the TWL_Readme.txt for further details for TWL Specific instructions and the Readme_PamUO_v3_01.txt for a list of PamUO fixes, changes, and updates. Also make sure to remove any of the config files you were using from the last download. The configs have been shortened and redone for servers that have slow loading clients.
The TWLRules v1.2 are included inside the PamUO v3.01 file.
Does this mean there will be only one (1) pk3 file to put on the server?
Yes.
Is the crashing at half time fixed in this version?
Yes.
Is TDM scoring fixed when you change sides at half time?
Yes.
Is TDM team killing issue fixed also?
Yes.
Are AutoDemos turned back on?
Yes.
and many more....
Bullet-Worm really worked hard on this version and did an outstanding job didn't he?
Agreed, you couldn't of said it better.
What's this Welcome message all about?
The message reads:
By Readying-Up, you are AGREEING to the match conditions on this server. If you have ANY concerns, please contact an admin on #twl_cod BEFORE beginning the match. Issues that could have been settled BEFORE match start are non-disputable.
Every day there are many disputes being submitted that are unfair to purpose of competing against each other. No team should be disputing an issue that could have been resolved before the match started. It is unfair to other teams if a matter could have been resolved by the team coming into IRC and getting an Admin, but ignored doing this, and then decides to just dispute the match if they lose. It is not the right kind of attitude to be using when competing at all. In some sense you might say it's unsportsmanlike.
The major point of the welcome message is very clear in this sentence:
Issues that could have been settled BEFORE match start are non-disputable.
The following is a copy/paste directly from the rules and the reason the welcome message exists:
