Punkbuster Streaming and AMBL

For a long time now, Teamwarfare has supported Punkbuster & the efforts of Punksbusted.com (The internet’s largest PunkBuster support web site), in helping to curb the level of cheaters in the games that have Punkbuster intergrated into them.

Although it is not mandatory for any clan to stream to Punksbusted, we reccommend that clans do register there so that they can stream their logs and use the Auto-Master Ban List. The reason behind this is that if cheaters are caught on a streaming server, then they can either be added to the MBL immediately (in the case of violations) or they can send their screenshots in to be verified and then added to the MBL.

So what exactly does the AMBL do?

• Cheaters detected by the Punk Buster software from the PsB admin member servers, are collected, sorted and updated to the Master Ban List (MBL) automatically.
  
• Your server’s ban list is automatically updated and kept current with the automated download feature at a time and period of your choosing. A cheater caught today will not be playing within hours on all servers using the MBL, Period!
  
• The Auto-MBL FTP updating software is available for both Windows and Linux-based servers. (Or update manually, if the auto-updating feature is not possible with your setup).
  
• Screen shot MD5 checksums and timestamps are automatically stored in the PsB repository, so that there will never again be a doubt as to the authenticity of a PB screen shot. It eliminates accusations of fake screen shots. PunksBusted’s repository will verify it’s integrity without question.

In order to stream your logs and use the Auto-Master Ban List, you must register at Punksbusted.com and apply for Admin Membership via the "Admin Tools" link on the site. Once you have been accepted by Punksbusted as an Admin Member, then it's a short process to configure your servers for streaming, and to start using the AMBL.

The requirements of gaining admin membership are:

1. You must be the admin of a full-time game server(s). Part-time server admins can join the forum and participate in discussions.
   
2. Your server(s) must be PB enabled full time and must be run in pure mode full time if it applies to your game.
   
3. Your server (or team) must have an online presence (ie, a web site).
   
4. Your email address must match the url of your web site's domain. No free email accounts (i.e. yahoo, hotmail, etc).
   
5. You must meet these minimum requirements or your application will be denied.
   
6. PunksBusted reserves the right to deny any application or revoke any membership at any time for any reason.

Many clans already successfully use the services provided by Punksbusted.com, and this can be seen by the number of bans in the Master Ban Lists for Call of Duty (3597) and Ravenshield (1026). Both of these communities are working hard to curb the level of cheaters in their games, and the main resource is provided by Punksbusted by way of streaming & the AMBL.

if that is set right and you have pssvuser config, then you have all 350 know cheats being checked, is this allowed in twl?

Yes, it is perfectly legal to stream & use the AMBL on your server during TWL Matches.

All you need to ensure is that you are using the CAL-TWL.cfg instead of the standard pbsv.cfg

-Master Ban List (AutoMBL):
To take a more proactice stance against cheating, the TWL has approved the use of the Punksbusted.com Master Ban List for match play. Please note, however, that TWL does not provide technical support for the Punksbusted.com MBL nor the AutoMBL tool. then the pbsvuser config would still active inless you reboot the server and have in your main config not to load it.

You sure? Cause that config has autoUptBan = 0 , doesnt that disable the steaming (and A in AMBL)? Or are you only saying that because of its own cvar checks? Btw, i just downloaded 3.01, and I only want to turn on the autoUptBan because PsB forces all members to...

if we stream our servers when pam updates will we be able to run pam and stream at same time?

PAM has not updated for quite some time and we are happy with it as it is now... so I do not think you will have that problem

I like what PB does SOME OF THE TIME. Do you really think PB is great and all. It is so corrupt. PB members sell private hacks that won't get banned by PB. O ya they are so good. They are in some ways.. not all

can someone tell me why certain players guids are not showing up on MBl punksbusted.com?

Because they're not banned?

i would like to know why certain players are on the mbl and twl won't bann them ????obviously they were hacking because they are on the mbl but yet they still active in twl?????

TWL Rules state that a player caught hacking in a pub (outside of TWL) will be banned for 1 year, and unbanned after that.

If you see someone on the MBL (or MBI) whom you believe should be on the TWL Ban list, I would approach toe COD Anti Cheat group. email them at codacteam@teamwarfare.com . To make matters simple as possible, I would include in said email, a link to the MBL or MBI ban entry, a link to the players TWL Profile, and an explanation as to why you believe this person should be banned.

Im sure the AC team does all that they can to keep TWL clean of hackers, but there is a possibility that there are some that slip through the cracks. Remember, its innocent until proven guilty.

well he was caught hacking in a twl match and is on mbl but yet he still plays?????????????? and i have emailed everyone and all i got for a responce is stop posting or emailing we or i will be banned from forums anyway i don't care any more who wants to play in a league that ban some hackers but not others????????so i am dropping out have fun playing with known hackers.and don't act if i don't know about mbl i have 4 servers streaming right now and he was caught by punksbusted and banned but yet he is still here .its not hard to find him on mbl just do a playerindex search at punksbusted and there he is. it takes two min to do this but yet he still plays but anyway i will probably be banned after this post but saying that twl supports punksbusted is a joke when they won't even bann a guy who is on the mbl but yet he plays

Do you also authorize the use of PBBans Multi-Streaming in addition to Punksbusted??

What about YAWN streaming??

Punksbusted is the preferred website for PB Streaming. PBBans is ok as well. I have never heard of YAWN so I would stick with PSB or PBBANS until YAWN is more well known.

so, does any body have any idea as to the probable % of people hacking in TWL.?

i know that my team does not hack, and we did fine in our first 8 matches, but as soon as we got into the top 25 we hit a wall of seemingly invincible headshots.. i heard from former twl and cal players that most do hack.

i can only imagine.. i know my guys need improvement and have removed them for the winter from the 25th spot with a record of 8-5, we were 8-1 when we got to 25th.. we have all been playing for several years. and it just seems kinda funny

yes we are pub players, not pro, but what is pro, an aimbot..?
