Suprise teams

These can be fun sometimes.


Who are the suprise teams in your opinion in the twl ladders?

They can be from any gametype and the only rule is you cant list your own. Teams that are new or old teams with new looks.

Well, I really only know one team that has surprised me in our two ladders. That was DxM. I'm probably giving more credit here than is due ( ) but their new team is nothing like their old CoD S&D team we faced a long time ago. A buncha nogood shit talkers they are!

We never really took S&D seriously. It moves too slow for our tastes. We get bored, our attention wanders, and BAM - one headshot and it's over

These guys brought tough game both times we have played them, both went to OT.

Considering our only other UO loss is to a #1 team they have earned my respect.

They have several loses, I can only attibute this to Roster changes. Id love to know though.

I dont know if its a surprise or not, but I figured I'd give props to LoL. Good team, Damned good rifles but they mixed it up with close range machine guns pretty damned well too

|TS| is improving very quickly, and SW is a team I'd never heard of until a few months ago. The biggest surprise of all is that so many teams are dropping ladders. I remember a time where ea. , T|M , =COM= , area51 , ||EE|| , and alot of other skilled teams were on most ladders, now they are out alltogether or only focus on 1. Kinda sucks when competition dry's up.

Woot clan is alot better in UO than they were in regular COD. Only one that comes to mind.

i would have to agree with you on LoL.. these guys are really good.. gave us the closest TDM match in awhile. They won the first 3/4 but we managed to get back the lead in teh 4th quarter.. definately gave us a scare

a51 is still on 6-7 ladders plus a league.. focusing on one is boring

7-0 on the CTF ladder, haven't had much of a chance to see what else they do, but they're a tough team

No contest. No quarter...11/2 on ctf 8v8, held #1 for quite sometime now. Wins against some monster teams. Impressive records on other ladders including the composite. Not to mention very sexy.

FUBARFISH, These guys are some of the most talented TDM players I know, they pub with us every night, have some crazy players and are real friendly people.

And

Slaves to the Game have some nice CTF strats, obscure, will throw some curve balls at you.

Cant forget,

9th Kompanie Grobdeutschland (spellying?) TIGHT teamwork, aggressive strats, prepare well, real cool guys.

I would agree about 9th[GD]. Very tight teamwork hands down.

I agree, 9th is a well run clan. Nice strats and follow through. Though none of them can drive a jeep worth a damn

Not a surprize their old school MOHAA expected nothing less from them.

To me the surprize team is SgT we never played or heard of them before we econuntered them on the S&D ladder. They keep getting better every time we play them.

Old school mohaa teams are always sexy. I think Nq and D12 have the two oldest clans in all of cod.

Was D12 around before mohaa?

P.S. TxR, D12C, and DR are probably the oldest clans around...(that haven't disappeared and then reappeared)

GP (if it were still around) would be turning 4 in april... but alas, terminal cancer did Going Postal in oh well, D12C picked up this noob on the street corner and i've had a cardboard box to call my own ever since

The [9th GD] was formed in April-02, so we will be 3 years old come next month. Weve played under this name in MOHAA, BF1942, COD, COD:HOB, & COD:UO.

My suprise teams are GvL and SW

GvL took the Dom ladder by storm and only lost to one team on the way, and that was EA.

SW has caused us to re-think the way we play TDM at times. They are a solid team also.

most teams are competeing in cal and concentrate on cal. My team just got back into 6v6 CTF classic after roster issues. We compete in cal along with most of the "monstar" clans. The UO community isn't as big as CoD yet but i'm sure you will find that all together the CAL-UO and TWL-UO communities are growing stronger by the minute.

Nobody likes TXR dood. Thats why nobody would vote for ya.

Thanks for the kind words, Hobbes. We are really a hodgepodge of everything. Kinda of a stop off point for wayward ppl. A majority of us were with the {]DBP[} which played on the CoD S&D ladder and the UO DOM ladder, however we broke away to form our own team in Jan 05. We've got some really talented guys/girl that work hard at being as good as they can be on the ladders. We appreciate all the teams that have taken the time to scrim and strat with us. Thanks again for the mention Hobbes. Its nice to see their hard work hasn't gone unnoticed.

Cal sucks nut sacks. Maybe when they get there shit together and host more then one shitty game type more people will check them out. Also the point of this thread was to state who you think the 'surprise' team is, not to gloat and try to make your team look like one of the "monstar" clans. For a 'star' team I'v never heard of you..

This however, I must agree with. Maybe people are waking up and relizing CoD is OLD NEWS. I mean, who wouldent want the sprint ability?

As for surprise teams, I can tell you right now starting tomorrow you better watch out for the [-oS-] Old School Guild on the HQ ladder. Almost makes me second guess if we should join it or not.

Yeah, oS definitely has the respect of [DR]. I remember scrimming them one time and wondering why they weren't on TWL.

I searched here and CAL and couldn't find them. I searched *gasp* OGL and found them.

Didnt OS get kicked from TWL back in the day?
