Picking maps for matches

Just curious how this is done and wondering if we can take a vote on the old method of the teams picking the map instead of being auto assigned. Maybe give the defending team the opportunity to select two maps and the attacker selects one of the two. Just a suggestion

We haven't joined the UO ladders yet. They're all like this?

Well all the UO ladders the maps are assigned by TWL, personally we have played Italy in CTF classic 3 times out of our 6 matches, we aren't really having any fun.

Yeah, we always get stuck having to play Kharkov in Domination. It sucks because there are an even number of capture points so you end up in a tie half the time. We have our third 10v10 dom match in a row on Kharkov tonight. Not fun just playing the same map over and over.

I know what you mean... we had Berlin for first 4 matches - straight... finally a new map came up for us...

I hope we can pick maps in the near future, its getting repetative.

yeah italy on the 2vs2 rifles only ladder is hella gay and boring

Just out of curiousity is there a map of the week and every match played that week on that particular map or is it random?

I don't think its such a good idea. Cause then maps will be neglected. Can anyone honestly say they've played ship more than once when you were able to pick maps?? Our last uo tdm match we acutally played ship for the first time. So when people are picking maps, a lot of maps hardly get played. At least with it random all the maps would be played.

Why do all of the maps NEED to be played. Frankly there is a good reason Ship isn't played often, and that is cause it sucks. Why be forced to play a map that no one enjoys or has its flaws, like mentioned above?

The maps are randomly selected.

I remember in the CoD S&D ladder, teams that would ALWAYS pick the same map. It's nice to play something different every once and awhile. It sounds like the random picking isn't working as good as it should for some (getting Italy so many times in a row) but IMO it's worth it.

Yeah, it kind of sucks to get the same map over and over, but oh well whatever. BTW. Ship isn't THAT bad if you can get to the top first. I'm hoping we won't get kharkov again for awhile tho.

we only played one of the new maps on classic S&D. I really thought there be more of the new maps to play. 4 matchs in the row we have or will play the old maps. Lets go back to the defender picking the maps

Guys, just to let you know.. I am aware of the problem and found the problem. It is in the process of being fixed. The problem should be resolved by Friday at the latest.

all it re ally is is poor randomization, and it's easily fixed. So thanks for fixing it in advance.

The randomization in the map rotation should be completely fixed. If for some reason, it isn't, please do not hesitate to let me know.

This is definetly not fixed, please help us out. We have Italy again for the 4th or 5th time in 8 matches. Can you please go back to the old way and give us another map. My team seriously doesn't find this fun at all, its more like torture...lol

try to get the other team to change. Pick a different map. Both teams agree in match comms then its good.

I doubt teams are going to want to change what has been slected, and honestly we did like 10v10 domination but were dropping it tonight after having to play the same maps over and over....Not really any fun playing the same map....I would hate to see it but my team really doesn't want to be in any of the ladders after recieving the same maps over and over. Someone at TWL please consider letting the teams pick the map.
