I would like to see some other ladders put up. 2 on 2 and 4 on 4 would be good. Anyway way I can do that myself? I think if we had ladders that size we would have more matches and more people sign up. We definetly wouldn't have to plan weeks ahead to get the teams together. Sounds good to me, would be more competitive and with lower player numbers per game it would be easier to arrange, and therefore more popular. I don't want the 8v8 ladder to stop, it's great to finally have a decent competition to partake in. Just need to let more clans know, and get rid of the current inactive ones.
i think doing 3 vs. 3, 5 vs. 5 and 8 vs. 8 ladders would be a great idea. Could be 2, 4 and 8...whatever.
The thing is, it appears that this game is dying, a lot of clans don't have 8 people that actively play it anymore. Disciple has done an awesome job getting this thing going...but the admins before him pretty much looked it over, therefore the interest in the TWL 8vs. 8 has been forgotten.
It's all about getting clans involved to compete and I think having a lower number of required players would help...but is it too late?
I prefer an 8 vs. 8, but am not opposed to lowering the required players. But, if you have a clan like NERV that has 30+ active players for SW:B then that will be awful hard to please everyone if we only doing these 2,3, 4, or 5 person matches. Would you suggest scoring be done only by clan? If so, then theoretically we could have about 10 2 person teams if we are allowed to have more than one.
It's a great idea, but it caters to the smaller clans. Us bigger ones really would not benefit from this as only a few people would actually get to play.
For the bigger clans, you could have several teams, and the admins could rank the clans as a whole (just some sort of points sidebar for the ladder) in addition to the individual teams.
3 on 3 and 5 on 5 sounds good CI would have more then one team on the ladders for 3 on 3 and if we could make it so we could be on multiple teams that would be cool.
i agre..think NERV could sport quite a few teams for the lesser amounts...and all should be kept busy as this SHOULD lead to more clans getting involved!!
2 things - ranking the clans as a whole wouldn't be possible. Each team would have to be ranked separately. And you would not be able to play on more than 1 team.
I need numbers, if we were to create a 4v4 how many teams would we be able to get on the ladder ? Basically this cannot happen unless there is enough interest. However, IF there is enough interest than I will see what I can do. Post edited by Discip1e at 2/11/2005 2:11:39 AM
