I am very happy to see a member of the Pandemic staff on these forums. Makes me feel secure that we are being heard. Thanks!

Welcome.. first thing i would like to say, is the "Server is Full" bug is very fustrating. Me and 5 clan mates were attempting to join a server together, and we just coudlnt find an empty enough server. When a server on the manager, or even on Gamespy Arcade said 20/32, it still came up as full. Even when it said 4/20, it said full.

In addition, like others have mentioned, the ground speeder is very hard to take down.

Pressing TAB to be able to see your scores would be a nice addition as well. I hate having to press escape just to get there.

Thanks again, ill post more as I remember things. Its off to bed for me now
is he coming back? have the games 'ended'?
maybe its just a long intermission or comercial...
please add punkbuster.
I'm not buying anything until I have a demo. Please, release a demo of the game.
No the games have not ended

I just have other responsibilities I am working on. Like considering potential downloadable content and what we'll need to release the tools for the mod community. Not to mention I get A LOT of feedback so I have to balance my time.

Your admins have set up a great forum for me where they are compiling a lot of your feedback, so I will be checking in there a good deal to better expidite my time. I'm still here, don't worry

I'd steer more towards the admin section if I were you. Let them filter out the flood of complaints that accompany every game release and distill it down to the good hard stuff.
Wondering how often (or how much of) the feedback gets checked at the swbattlefront.net forums?

Filter out the complaints?
Most of the feedback there is either just complaining without anything constructive or is just off base...honestly.

The admins here for TWL have been compiling all the feedback that we consider useful and are conversing with Jens in a separate forum so that he doesn't have to go rooting through everything to find meaningful critiques. We think this approach will provide the best possible means of getting concentrated feedback straight to the developers and thus will aid in getting the game really polished as soon as possible.
Ièd love to see what these feedback are as well.

Is there a way to get a VIEW only.

If you put it as a LOCKED sticky, can the admin still update it and this way all could see what is being pass along and not post it multiple times.

Hey Granit,
I like your avatar quote.

"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when....."

Hey kids,

Good to see so much interest in Battlefront. I am the Lead Designer of the title and will be looking around the community in the coming weeks to see how things are going. I look forward to your comments and hope TeamWarfare and Pandemic can work together to make your experience with the game get better and better.

I've just been contacted by the site and will begin helping their efforts to support the game and you, the players. Anyway, just wanted to touch base and say hello to you all. Have fun and may the force be with you; light or dark. >

your already 10,000x cooler than raven

btw, if you know off the top of your head, what does pendemic look for when hiring programmers ?

btw if your taking suggestions:

-fps cap is a bad idea unless theres some problems that are avoided by doing this

-tab completion like in q3 based games would be nice if thats not already there

Spytle it is amazing and great to see this kind of feedback from a developer. We are concerned of course that certain parts fo the feedback be taken seriously (admin control and better sa servers). Word back soon would be great news to all of us who wish to see this game become what it is truly capable of.

Denn die Todten reiten schnell (For the dead travel fast)
i think this is useful

from my experience modding ID and raven games I can offer this feedback

-Cross platform source:

It would be easiest on the modding community if the server librarys were cross platform compileable, so nobody has to flip between source trees to get their linux versions out (and you do NEED a linux server, 90% of the hosting companys use linux). This might apply to os X as well if you are releasing a mac version. By this I mean i want to be able to compile my modifications in windows, and reboot to linux and run a single make command to get the linux server librarys (of course i'm making alot of assumptions about how your structuring this game)

-sdk documentation:

One of the biggest drawbacks i found to modding quake3 and jedi outcast / academy was a completly lack of documentation. I spent 3 months of my modding time just reading the source trying to figure out what the hell was going on. While ID did a good job of organizing their librarys, raven in turn did not do a good job of releasing docs for the games they had published (ravan in my opinion should be considered on the same level as orange smoothie productions at this point, ie a mod company). Even if you guys wanna write a 3 page writeup in word about how you've organized your sdk, it would make you look better and atract more experienced modders.
hi
Kool nice quick patch. Shows us that you guys love us lol. I did notice different in the servers with the patch. And the refresh rate increase on the server browser is a good help.

Honestly Schetter as a server admin all I ask for is Server admin tools and Linux server files. If you can stress that to Spytle it'd be much appreciated. Those are the two main things I'd like to see implemented very soon. All the balance and map issues can come later. The only other thing would be to address the false "server full" messages when trying to connect. Thanks.

These are the top things we've highlighted - and I've gotten the impression that the devs agree with that assessment.

Thank you Durinia for the quick response. I am glad to hear those are at the top of their list. Is there any ETA on those two to be implemented? Some server admins (myself included) have resisted putting up a server at all until it can be properly administered. Any info is appreciated.
