Hey, I'm new to this forum (SOF2) and am wondering if Soldier Of Fortune 2 is worth getting? Which ones would I need to buy (so damn many of them lol) SOF Gold, Platinum, SOF2, SOF1. Do I Need 1 to upgrade to two? Which ones do I need to have or can I just upgrade to number 2. I'm pretty sure it would run so any info and help or sites would help, also if you have the time answer the quesions above please Thanks.

Theres SoF2 gold, has about everything you need but osp (quick download). SoF2 doesn't include SoF1 though...but sof1 is well past its prime, probably not worth your time.

First of all, SOF2 multiplayer is better than Halo multiplayer.

Second, what kind of cheap ass can only afford 2 games? Buy all 3 if you like fps. (SOF2 has the best multiplayer of any FPS I've played.....and I've played most of em).

Gold is the latest version, so yea. If you buy 1 of the others you may need to download the 1.03 patch for it.

Halo multi sucks!!

SOF2 is still the best around hands down!!

We'll see whenever HL2 comes out!!

ill say its worth it... been playing that game in multiplayer since demo and i still love it.

and yeah HALO suck so bad in multiplayer. not worth the money or even the bandwith(sp) for a D/L

You can buy ANY version of SoF2. My suggestion is to go to GoGamer and buy the $17.90 JC (jewel case only) version. If you want you can spend an extra $2 and get the gold version. Really doesn't matter because all the gold stuff is in a 50MB patch.

Okay, Thanks guys I tried the multiplayer demo and it's really fun I am sure I could get used to the lack of weapons but is there a console command or something to get it brighter I have my brigtness on my screen 100% and it's still dark. Thanks.

there is an in-game brightness under options. turn it up and you'll be straight.

there may be a "lack of weapons" but at least they are balanced right?
