I would like to let everyone know that you do have some protection out there in the playing fields. There is a way to protect yourself from edited PB shots. Below are listed the commands that you must place into the SOF2 console. What they do: Every time a pb server takes a screenshot of you, rather it be automatic or manual, it will place that identical screenshot into your pb folder. With this evidence you can prove that you did not cheat. You must do this in order to protect yourself and -=[BF]=- from anyone that may try to harm you or the -=[BF]=- name.

You should type this into your console IMMEDIATELY, to activate this feature. You only have to type it once. It writes to your config file and stays there!

Open your console and type:

pb_sssave 1
pb_writecfg

Take the TIME TODAY to update your config file! Thanks!

if someone is going to fake a pbss of you, more than likely, they will take an existing screenshot of someone else, and slap your info in there (that can be detected btw, by additions in the header).

in that case, this does you no good at all. infact, it may hinder you, as on my rig, when i hit "screenshot" i get a half sec of complete lag. someone pops a shot of you while your in a gun fight, and you'll get a stutter.

this is old info, still good for those who dont know though. btw in servers that take auto pb screen, ull be getting like 5-8 screensper game , depends on time limit, and if you dont have a decent HDD, you wont have any more space

actually i find that there is very little lag when a pb screen shot is taken

me too. i get ZERO lag on a pb screen, but on regular screenshot i do. with a pbss and a regular screenshot being taken at the same time, i'd get a nice fat yellow/red gap in my lagometer.

there is a difference in the code of a SS and edited... u can tell very ez if one is edited or been messed with... its been proven on pb forums....

SNORE, why does punkbuster even exist? 2 days after the update people are out there cheating. what good is it? and why dont they either fucking fix it or give up!

We hope Punkbuster will keep honest people honest and the others will cheat no matter what...
