TWL League Problems

Its monday afternoon.

I was wondering when the schedules for THIS weeks INF League will be released, because matches are Thursday and it doesnt look like schedules will be released until Tuesday at this point in time.

This is important because TWL League does not require use of IRC so I have to email a lot of my opponents and they have to email back and that process takes a lot longer and can make match setup problematic.

Also; We've had 6 weeks/games of TWL league and more than half the league hasnt played 6 games. What plan of action is taking to fix this? or is there one? And are the playoffs going to be 16 teams or 8 coz 16 would be more than half the league and as I mentioned, most havent even played the minimum number of games.

I think teams should be allowed to make up 1 game unless they did not show up for one. Also, Teams that did not play the total number of games should be eligible for playoffs if they have enough wins.

Alot of good teams still eligible for a good playoff with teams like fe, zfz, kod, iso, & wsbw. Would like to see this League's first season end with a good playoff and some good games. Lets get to this admins and get this rolling!!!

I was actually just gettin ready to maybe make a big post about teams not playing their games and if you're not going to play them then please have the courtesy to just drop the league or tell me and I'll do it for you.

No-Shows/pending matches have been a problem throughout the season. I've tried to do what I could by emailing teams who appeared to be inactive, and for the most part got no response (and those teams are gone btw).

I'll be going over the teams tomorrow and see if I missed any. I think I got the lllllllamas cleaned out for the most part, but apparently missed some in the process.

If you have had some matches where your opponent didn't show up or if you have failed to show for matches but really want to make an attempt to replay some matches, plz email me at ghostkiller@teamwarfare.com and I'll try to get some extra games in for you guys.

Playoffs have not been fully discussed but I'll be meeting w/ the powers that be soon, and see how we're gonna run this. It'll likely depend on # of teams actually active and find a # that gives many teams a shot at taking home the title, but not give TOO MANY teams a shot as well (I do no think a sub-par season deserves a spot in the playoffs).

I'll try to get a mass email out Tuesday afternoon'ish to every1 in the league about the rescheduling and so forth. Kod, you don't need to reply, I gotcha on my list (if u have any u need replayed). As far as replaying matches, I'll try to work around the CAL playoffs if any teams are involved in those and have a problem possibly making make-up matches on days other than Thursday or Sunday (default CAL day).

Oh, and about the scheduling, I haven't done that all season, I'll check into that though ASAP. Thanks for the headsup Sev.

Just an idea about playoffs that seems to work.

From what I see theres 30 teams in the league currently.

10 of those are more than 2 games behind in games played and should not be eligible for playoffs or more than one makeup game.

Thats leaves 20 teams and I think 8 playoff spots should be fair. One for each divison winner (6) plus the 2 teams with the 2 next best records. Then do 1v8,2v7, etc.
