My name is IkILLyOu AKA IKY, i am new to the TWL and CTF ladders. I have noticed that when u first join into this ladder it is very hard to get a challnge to go through due to inactive clans holding higher rungs. It is hard to find a clan to challenge that A) Has a server B)Has more than 1 player on there roster and C) are actually active on the ladder. Such clans as cpt., TDP, _BDK, ][SAW][ and sSs]Silent, are on the ladder and are holding higher rungs. These clans either have 1 person on the roster, or have not competed in a month or so. When u first start out and want to achieve higher rank u have to sort through all of these 1 man clans, and inactives, to actually get a match going. I was wondering why these clans arent pushed down to the bottom of the whole ladder so that the clans that actually have a full roster and a team that would really enjoy competing can do so. I personally think this would be a great place to get some good matches going, once we can sort through all the 1 man clans and inactives. Just a few questions from a newcomer to the TWL league =)
My advice...challenge these non-starter teams, take the forfeit win, and within a challenge or two, you'll be sitting in a position to play some of the active teams.

Don't forget..if you challenge and they don't respond in 24(?) hours, you get a win with a simple email to your friendly admin

And the chronically inactive DO get booted...look at Storm *A*...half a dozen consecutive forfiets on CTF andthey were punted from the ladder. However, if noone challenges these teams and shows they are dead weight, the Admins won't know. I doubt they patrol EVERY team's record looking for sleepers.
I disagree matt. You have to carefully check each team. Many of the teams have just joined - and are looking to bolster rosters (thus only having 1 player).

Find a team with at least 6, then get something going. It'll take a while to seive through them, but playing will be much more valuable than getting the forfeit.

Good point, Man, the experience is allways valuable. However my point is that if you DO challenge a team and they are not active...or just not ready yet...you haven't wasted your time, because pretty soon because of a forfiet or 2 you WILL be in a position to play teams that are actively competing.
SAW is on this ladder? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha n00bs
