am i a cheater if....

am i a cheater if for some reason my video card will not render fog on any sof2 map? and what if i have taken demos of my play and someone called me a cheater but it is actually just my video card and i don't have the $$ to upgrade (and don't want to LOL).... then what?

ps: i do not have said video card, but have seen this problem first-hand (just look at my scores... you'll see).

For the players which have older cards that are unable to render fog... I would not call them cheaters. However, I would say they have a definate advantage on certain maps. They should be free to play on public servers just like anyone else who purchased the game, although, I do not believe they should be allowed to participate in competitions and leagues.

Hmmmm I have never seen this. That shouldn't be allowed in league play.

With those crappy cards it does not matter if there is no fog since you will be getting 10 fps

There is also the instance with a radeon 9700 (my card) and old catalyst drivers where shadows stick out of the wall. The no fog doesnt make it much better for you I would guess unless you are using a sniper ...

But I doubt it would have much effect in the match if one guy had no fog and was forced to play at 640 X 480 or something low like that. He would be too busy shooting bushes because they look like people leaning out ;p

well, i am running a pretty outdated computer cause it is all i can muster, but the computer in question runs better than mine. i don't recall the video card, but i know it does get more than 10fps, lol.

Yeah I don't think it would really matter if you have fog or not if you're on a video card that can't even render fog... I'm guessing you probably can't make things out any further then people running with fog anyway so it's all good. And Dennis is a hoe you should kick him from the forums for being such a manwhore... I mean really look at him, can you honestly say you want him around the rest of us? I think not.
