Suggestion for Rant Boards

There has been lots of back-and-forth lately about people going from rant to rant flaming teams. Most of the time, it seems to be 3rd parties - ie: someone not actually on one of the 2 teams involved.

I don't know if the forum software can do this, but it might be an idea to set the rants so they only are accessible by the teams involved. The rants are supposed to be to allow the players to get into the spirit of the game and call each other out a bit, but they often get derailed into lame little troll-wars.

We are talking about adding a feature where one or more of the teams can ask that the rant boards be restricted to the teams involved in the match. More news on this shortly.

This is going to be interesting. I am sure we all know there are teams that particularly don't like each other. There are teams that claim other teams cheat and so on and so on. So if we can't RANT in the public forum because TWL doesn't want it to get out. Then why limit the RANT board. There should be a venue where everyone can express their feelings without having to have their hand slapped. I mean why would Judge not want some clan to comment about their match? Could it be because some truth came out that they desperately want to go away? I guess I would feel the same way if I was caught too.

Anyway it adds character to the matches to see what other people think. Once the top 10-20 teams really get worked up it should draw more teams to the league because of the competetion.

cheating accusations should not be voiced at all.. If you wish to publicly damage another team, do it somewhere other than TWL. Right or wrong, it hurts the team and all the players for the rest of their career.

If you wish to expose a 'cheater' with 'proof' you follow the proper channels and speak with an admin..

edit: I'm going to take a look at these rant boards more.. if ya'll are just using them to accuse each other of cheating then there's no reason to have them at all.

I don't think that is what the rant board is being used for at all, but you will see there is a lot of smack talking. Who knows, but the more people are hyped up for a match the more it will get around. Hopefully it will bring more teams to TWL.

Regardless of the policing done people will always think someone else is cheating. It happens no one likes to get smacked around by better players, especially when that is in their mind. Anyway that shouldn't be a reason to micro manage the rant boards.

i like the rant boards jst the way they are, fun. I dont think any teams take whats said on the rant boards seriously. Ive never seen a rant board turn into a "they cheat" thread.

it was fine b4 there were rants and its fine now with the rants.
ppl that talk alotta trash n stir things up only make themselves look like total idiots.
most of the time it is the newer plyrs/teams and ppl not even competing in TWL, that go from rant to rant flaming away.
