Multiplayer Help

My friend has this very weird problem, he can't get online play. He has reinstalled the game many times and has even used my disk to install it and it still doesn't work. His computer meets all of the requirements to play the game but still no luck. He just gets to the loading screen and it sits, and sits, and yes, sits. He has the gold version so there should be no updates that he has to download, or atleast I didn't have to and we bougth the game on the same day. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try this:
Go into the sof2\base\mp folder and delete the sof2mp.cfg file. Then try loading the game. Dunno if that will work or not but try it. If it doesn't work you may have him try reinstalling the game w/ your cd's in case maybe the cd was bad or something. Otherwise, try posting on the forums at http://www.forumplanet.com/planetsoldieroffortune/ or any other sof2 forums you can find, maybe there's a fix out there.
