LMS vs KAZ

Epic match great job both teams.
The match lasted over 6 hours the deciding round was over 300 minutes and 50% of the players had over 200 kills. All rounds went to OT. This should go down in history as one of thr best ever. I have over 100mb of demos if you want to see them.

This was one for the history books. It could've gone either way. Both clans fought so hard. Nobody wanted to give up. LMS won the 2nd game and KaZ took the 1st and TB. All in OT! We played the TB for more than 3 HOURS!! The whole match took 6 hrs!! From 9:30pm - 3:30am! It was incredible. Everybody that played deserves a standing ovation. This was probably the longest match in SOF2 history. I seriously think either team could've won that. We had the flag at the middle of the map early in the TB but we were a second too late to keep it alive. 20 LMS' showed up. Unfortunately, only 16 of us played and the other 4 had to sit it out. We try to give every player some playing time. Wish the match was played on a Friday or Saturday. KaZ, hope to play yall again. This is just KaZ vs LMS Pt. 1 =P. We will get our revenge soon. Great Games! Hope our next match is against yall again Let us know if anybody wants to see the demo. LOL...it'll be a 6 hr demo but you don't hafta watch all of it.

Ahhh I must say to both LMS and KaZ great game last night!!!! and yes this should go down in history like meat and hell said...Cant wait for LMS Vz KaZ pt.2 This battle is going down in my sof2 greatest battle book for real again LMS and KaZ gg and keep it up guys

That match was wayyy too much fun..all i have to say is if we do another IMHO it'll be friday night or saturday night heheheh nothing like trying to go to bed with a body thats too pumped up from playing a HARD match.. GG boys i knew it was gonna be tough but never expected all that. Ya'll played hard and played well. Thanx for the memories i can now share with my grandchildren

When I woke up this morning I could barely move my neck. The carpal tunnel kicked in full force, and my eyes were glued shut. I feel like I fought in a real war! But here I am again sitting at my computer. LOL! GGs all, can't wait for pt.2!

We took 5 min breaks between maps, but no, we didn't pause in the middle of the 3 hour tiebreaker. We played it straight through. That was the toughest match I have played to date, and LMS is right. This match could have easily gone the other way. We just got lucky first. For those curious, the seed was as follows:

Note the spawn in relation to the flag, and how you come out. You basically respawn on the flag. A defenders dream, an offensive players nightmare. This was awesome. Every player scored at least 100 pts, several over 200, and NastyPu ended with 271 kills! 271! Excellent match LMS and we look forward to our next meeting (hopefully on a better map).

Damm. Thats nuts. I wanna see the end screens.

That is crazy our match last night lasted 4 hours total and I thought that would set the record.

That 3rd map was nuts. It does bring up an interesting problem though: how should extremely long matches/maps be handled?

I can say that after 3 hours on one map it might be a good idea to just call the map a draw and play a new seed fresh. If the match is going on forever and people have to leave (so they can get sleep for work/school and such) it seems rather unfair to take a forfeit win when things were tied for hours.

Maybe we could all agree on some common etiquette regarding this. Say if the match exceeds 3 hours total, any remaining maps could be resecduled. Or if an individual map takes 90 minutes then it should be called a draw and a new seed should be played from scratch.

I dunno, just a thought. It just seems as if matches are lasting longer and longer lately.

Matches are getting longer cuz all teams are getting better its been a year now so thats going to happen. LMS T|A was 3 hours some odd mins and that was back in oct nov 2002. So get ready guys they will get longer. Good strat. if they cant get your flag they aint winnin nothin so thats what some do hold your flag as long as ya can when its safe get there flag/

I have a better Idea. Why don't we open up the times to start mid afternoon on weekends. This is what I play SOF2 for the competition If it takes 2 days to play a game its fine by me. I want a 999 kill score anyhow!

It was a great match. That was the first match I've played in and I have to say it was intense. I've never played anything like it, not even on Hexa. Just an awesome game and gl to both teams in the future.

I like Abaques' idea but I think in the TB if it goes more than an hr n a half then both teams should reschedule. But I also don't mind playing for however long it'd take to win.
It makes it more interesting and unpredictable. Like a real war, you just don't know when it'd stop. Only the strong survives. After this match, both teams have only alotta respect for each other. No matter what the outcome would've been. E'body did a great job. And that means you too, cobra =)!

Well, it has been a couple days and I still feel under the weather. I have serious match hangover. This was the meanest match I have ever played on TWL. We have played in somewhere around 23 matches on this ladder as MDK and now with our new name KaZador, so that tells ya what it was like. LMS was awesome! I better order 2 bowls of wheaties and 50 pushups a day for KaZ before the next LMS match.

haha. Yes, this match was insanely excellant. I had a great time and thank you for your time and skills KaZ. You guys are a great team to play against. That third match was long and I thought it never would of ended and was telling my fellow players, it'll still be 7am and we'd still be playing. I'm glad it didn't last that long.

Really, I had a great time in the last 2 matches I played in and had extreme fun in that third match.

KaZ, thanks, and to all the LMS who showed up for support, thanks. It was appreciated, and the teamwork/skills shown by both clans was something I have never seen back in my old days of gaming.

Oh sure, you all had a good time. Well I sat out for the third match, agonizing for 225 mins! It was horrible. It was ~ 3am here and I couldn't sleep, I couldn't read, I couldn't watch TV, and every time TExas Messaged me to ask if they were still playing I would leap to my Computer expecting it to be over. I wish I could have played that one. GG guys. Dibs on TB round in next KAZ match.
