First, I want to welcome you to the TeamWarfare America's Army Community.
The purpose of this forum is for questions to be put forth regarding rules, gameplay, etc. On the surface it amy seem that some of our rules and policies don't make sense. We have been doing these ladders for close to two years now and I assure any rules or policies are based on time tested experience. The chances are very good you are not the first to ask a specific question nor will you be the last.
The purpose of the AA ladders is two fold:
1. To adhere to the general concept of the game itself
2. To provide fun and enjoyable competition
At times those two concepts will collide. There are times where the rules will not coincide with the intention of the game. This is necessary to ensure game flow and fairness. America's Army is not developed to cater specifically towards leagues. Certain aspects are not 'league friendly' so adjustments have been made.
We are NOT based on strict adherence to all aspects of thegame. Certain issues regarding ROE penalities, what is and isn't allowed, what is and isn't available, etc. have been modified to allow for more competitive play.
Just because the Devlopers may say its fine on the public servers does NOT mean it is okay here. In the same respect, just because the mission briefing says one thing does not mean we will always adhere to it.
Everyone that plays here is required to read and understand the rules. Not knowing is not an excuse. There are plenty of admins willing to answer your questions, all you have to do is ask. You will also find that 99% of the players themselves are more than willing to help you out if asked.
We believe strongly in community spirit. If you tend to be anti-social or pressing the limits you may not receieve a very warm welcome.
