Interesting topic. I'm assuming you mean it to include only those competing on TWL.

1) Best overall pilot: AC Toaster. Can't count the times I've found him playing something and said to myself "Hehe, time for some ownage". He'd then go on to kill me 4 or 5 times no matter what He or I was driving.

4) Best Nova: Sharpe and AC Toaster. Only people I know who can drive the 7 laser variety on Dustbowl
Best Madcat. BT Thorgrim.

The rest I would have to think about. There are so many good ones here, it's hard to make a decision.

Overall: Not sure yet

Light: Killer Instinct - Cougar

Meds: Diemos Bavros - Shadowcat

Heavies:

if u want a serious response sharpe, try narrowing the choices. the ta'ers r gonna choose ta'ers and the ctf'ers r gonna choose ctf'ers. so make categories of dif game types, should clean things up.

1. Over All - Most of the TTC. Pick a mech and get owned
2. Lt Mech - Cryptic (yeah I am conceited - but I can do things most people only dream about)
3. med. Mech - Dark-e and his ugly mech (chimera)
4. I do not comment on Nova Rats, MC's or Vultures. But as far as BK's, loki's and thors - Tangy/Dark-e/Bruizer/Grey_Ghost/Scorpion/Hellspwan/Col Blade et al.
5. Assault - Scorpion, Hellspwan, Grey_Ghost (most of the defenders in TTC) any mech in this class
6. oddball mech - abstain from comment

Thanny- Limey?

Is there another Limey here? Seriously I wouldn't count myself as "up there" in a Thanny. Only time I've drove a non brawler Thanny in recent memory was at the "no laser boats" request of Vert.

This sort of post came up on Mw4online a while ago the time a comment was made that there are sub varients in each chasis eg Thanny brawler & Thanny LG sniper, just because you are the best in one doesn't mean you can drive the other.

Oh yeah and Killer Instinct is a damn pain in the butt in his Cougar, which also wins him the "Causes the most profanity on BC" award.

Not that many people are good in the Thanny for range but I remember a couple games where you worked it really well Limey. I don't notice many other Thanny pilots they are pretty average.

How about the most accurate "crack-shot"? Whether it be a Cougar or Daishi, if you aren't quick and accurate on the trigger, you're done. Who's the best?

Here are some well-known CTF crack-shots, in no particular order. I would feel very safe to have any one of these guys guarding my flag (I will not include any TTC, as every member who plays Defense for us is among the best).

Lol... sharpe... probably 80 percent of the information you that gets put here will be ... not what you want.

Ok... we have a pilot called Pitt who is a devil in a cougar... he just rules, if your think your hot in a novacat, you still have a ways to go, probably, to beat our pal Pitt in his cougar. Maverick is good in a thanny sniper as well as MG Toaster.

If I had to pick a Novacat pilot... it would be Killer Instince in MG with Limey and Ice-Ninja as a close seconds.

If I had to pick a team on the basis of hsving good teamwork, it would be pilots from -X-.

We have a good Ryoken pilot who is Angel, and Pheno is alright in a BK.

My specialty is 900 meter snipers. I'm sure many of experience the dropship born BlackNight I have. I can hold my own with a Novacat, but I tend to pick off the weapons on Meks instead of going for the kill given the chance. Pick a mek and weapons, I can pretty much fight with it well.

Problem is, in a match I could care less how well I do score wise... although I won't deny living it up when I do have a good score. I'm more interested in doing the team thing. If your in trouble, you'll often find me around trying to get you out of it when its feasible.

I've seen Limey do awesome in a Ryo more often than with a thanny.

Man...ok, I might do well in the Sunder (I dont think I rank amoung the best though...more like the nova and madcat pilots just dont play it much :P) But for WORST pilot, it's ALL ME in a jumper with guass!!! God DAMN I suck!

Um... B-buck, I'm confused. I haven't taken a daishi guard in probably over 6 months. I take a sunder or a loki. Flattered that you thought of me though

Maybe someone in the AKA can tell me, but I maybe have driven a Daishi ... like three times in the entire time I have had the game (which is since before it came out), the Atlas even less, and never have used the Mauler. I figure we have anuf ppl in those meks. Sunders and MK2 are better choices maybe... from what I have observed the Atlas is formidable in skilled hands.

Victory is pretty good in a Sunder now that I think back to a Snowbound battle.

Eh, this has turned into, "name your entire clan and the mechs they pilot", Theres far too many good players out there to name one. I do have one solid nomination though.

So when do we get a tourny to test out all these picks sharpe? How about a nova 1v1 tourny or something. I wouldn't mind taking the time to make a one v one chasis tourny for everyone. Personally i want to see who is the best in a chimera lol

Perhaps a one-v-one tourney, where you can only use a chassis once? Might take a bit of thinking. When do you break out with your best chassis? at the beginning? Or do you save it for the latter stages?

These lists are nice and all, but maybe it'd be more interesting if each clan offered up, who they think, are their best all-around pilots. (if you can choose, sounds like a bit fun one vs one with in the clans eheheh)


...ofcourse this could wait till after next weekend with the new arena map comming with 3.0 and the mech pack (i think)

I think a Grand Melee tourney would be cool. Each group that plays Mech 4 puts up there top three all around pilots and we create a bracket style single elimination tourney. Each level of the tourney would have one mech assigned to it and that is the mech that all participants would use for that paticular match.

You could have a lot of fun with that and it would go fairly quickly if organized properly. YOu can run 200 peoplle through a single elimination best of 5 kills in less than 5 hours.

Wouldn't mind seeing weight specific tourneys, thus best light, best med, best heavy, best assault. Just a thought. Cause if my Wolfie goes up against a lot of the good Nova pilots, I'm going down fast.

I think this sounds sweet, I personally like the different chassis per round deal, would really bring out the best overall pilot if he has to prove himself in 5-10 different mechs.

Yeah Chainlink that is the idea. The further up you go the more chasis's your exposed to. I'd say the admin's running the tourney would have the chasis pre-picked per bracket level and not let anyone know until game day.
